Whats up, I have a bit of a decision to make here. Pimp out my 2000 V6 Mustang Convertable Or My 89 Honda Prelude 2.0si. I dunno, the Mustang is stock except I ordered the 2002 spoiler for it which will be on soon and the Honda has Magnaflow exhaust, Cold air intake, and 17" white rims. Give me some opinions. THe honda is rusty but if I decide to work on that one then I will repaint it and get new weather stripping, etc.. so tell me what you all think!

The rims on the honda are nice... but they almost look out of place on that car!

The Green Mustang is pretty sleek... if your just looking to "pimp" it out... thats the way to go!

              My opinion:

I would have to assume you can find more aftermarket support for the 'stang. And if you are pimping out a car, you are really at a loss if you try to start on a rusty old honda. Don't get me wrong, Hondas are great, but you can't chase rust on those cars and still drive them. They eventually rust from the inside out. You can replace panels and such but the strut towers and floor boards are always the next things to go. blah blah blah

Good luck and keep us posted.

As someone who has owned a 3rd gen Prelude, I can tell you that parts are hard to come by. However there is some stuff you can do to it.
                Tokico Shocks/Koni Shocks
                Neuspeed Springs
                Ludespeed Turbo
You can fit a Vtec Head on it, but it requires some milling
                Swaybars
                Strut Bars
                H22A engine swap
                Nitrous
                Carbon Fiber Hood
                Body Kits (Kaminari, Erubini)
                there's more I can't think of too

I have some blue underbody sittin in my garage for the stang that I pulled off my red one before I traded it in. Tjamz did you ever run your Prelude at the track? What did you all do to it?

IMO.... I would sell both cars, and get a more tunable platform. In the end it's completely up to you, but if it is an option for you, I would consider that.

Never got it to the track. The mods I had done were Tokico Shocks w/ Neuspeed race springs, Short Ram Cold Air Intake w/ K&N filter, Apex-i N1 Exhaust, Cusco Strut Bars, Cusco Sway bars, short throw shifter, converted it from auto to stick (actually, caleb at Type-R did that work for me), Clutchmasters clutch....and I think thats it. Oh and a bushing kit as well. Realistically, that car handled better than any car I've ever ridden in. It was so low and stiff that it just begged to be cornered. The fact that the camber was off by about 3-5% helped in the cornering as well. I kinda miss that car to this day, but I traded it to get my WRX so I guess I really can't bitch too much.

Yup, having less thread to the pavement is great, and when you corner, the body roll makes the camber even worse!!

perhaps I should have said negative camber..the top toed in and the bottom out...therefore when you cornered and the body rolled you would get more of a contact patch on the outside tires.
