Wouldn't doubt it. I had a real hard time trying to take off without spinning the wheels.

I've seen dynos of them putting 210-220 hp to the wheels. Not bad.

Plus, The roots style SC they have, makes the a lot more fun to drive than if it were NA....or even turbo

From what I've heard, the motor/tranny in the Cobalt SS/Ion Redline is very very good, but everything else around it is typical GM junk. There's a guy on the NA forums w/ a Cobalt SS and he's had it at the dealer a bunch of times getting shit warrantied.

Whats the warranty like for these?

I thought you were joking at first when I was reading your post, I thought you were being sarcastic when you said it was fast...

Like cheapsrt said, buy his and put 5grand into it and run 11's. Or buy mine and have a nicer/faster car...lol ( I can put $1500 into mine and run 11's no problem) The warranty on my car is good until 2011. 7yr/70k mile warranty ftw.

But hey if you want to get the saturn, by all means get it, just don't be upset when new Civic Si's are beating you, or stock SRT's, or modded RSX-S's.

Oh, I don't know, we will see what kind of job I have this spring. I am really leaning on either an SS or a redline. But I don't know, I haven't ridden in an SRT before, so I might have to try one out sometime...We will see what ends up unfolding. It's all in the future and no one can tell the future so...

Why would you swap a redline when u could just swap a normal one? I think a turbo'd 4 cyl closed deck has just as much potential as an LS1.

BTW speaking of new cars, anyone driven a new Maxima with a Xtronic CVT?
