Does that have the 2.5L DOHC in it? Stick or auto? I drove one at work one time and they seemed to have decent get up and go for what it is.

Nah, that car ain't that bad. I like it. I test drove one just like it. Red and everything. Really nice. It was a stick shift and it had a lot of torque. Or maybe that was because I wasn't that great at driving a stick anymore...lol

Good luck to whomever it is that bought it. I've heard many a bad thing about those cars and the gremlins they have - usually electrical IIRC.

Well, hmm, uh, I like the color.

I had a 99 cougar that same color when I was 17. It had the v6, but it was manual. The automatics are complete dogs, you are gonna be kicking yourself soon. It was bone stock w/ springs, 2 people, and full stereo and I gteched it and got a 15.8, so yeah.

The aftermarket was getting better for it, there are a few nice kits out for it. Performance wise you better just leave it alone, cuz the only thing that would be good for it is a 3liter swap w/ a mtx75 tranny.

I had mine for about a year and a half, the only issues I had with it was the track for the sunroof broke, no electrical issues. However they do tend to have bad alternators, which Ford actually put out a recall a few years ago because so many people had that issue.

all i am going to say is that if you think i bought it because i wanted it you dont know me. but if you must i had a choice of getting this cougar or a cavalier. so then was it a good decision or bad? i plan on trading it in ASAP for a honda.
