Shipping a car...

I need some recommendations for shipping a car to Florida. I know you shipped one Brett, what company did you use? We are looking into DAS, but have heard some horror stories, etc. Does anyone have anyone local, etc that will do it? Want to keep it as close or less than $1k as possible...

not sure bout being less that 1k, cuz from sioux falls to orlando it was 1k, so i didnt buy that car

I would ship from the cities if it made it cheaper too...

when i got my car from baltimore i beilieve it was 800 so most should be in that ballpark

I did a quick quote with DAS online and it said $616 but thats from Fridley...they want an extra $775 to ship it from Fargo...

The people I used sucked - the hood, and both doors were mangled by the time it got to Seattle....

It looks like its about $800 or so to ship door to door with a smaller company.

I think it was $750 from Fgo to Seattle, so I think the price is in line anyways. Best of luck

Tony, I'll see Sean on Friday and I'll ask him what company he uses when shipping the cars cross country. He says it costs around $1k, and I believe he hires an acquaintence with a privately owned truck.

I used Hurst auto shippers to get my black car here from Cali, they did a nice job. I think it cost ~$900.

To be honest, it was the buyers choice in shipping, but the best I found(pricewise anyway) was Auto Transport Direct, www.autotransportdirect.com.
