Hit & Run

Shitty deal bro, your insurance going to cover the paint/possible tailight? I know when I got rear ended that my rear quarter panel was destroyed and I know those arent cheap from what I saw on the invoice lol.
-
I'll probably cover it out of pocket rather than have my premiums go up. Should only be a couple hundred dollars to have it repainted since I will do the actual prep and install. The taillight itself isn't broken, the sheetmetal was just pushed in about a 1/8 inch so I think I can straighten that myself as well, you really can't even see it now unless you are looking for something to be wrong. The worst thing is just last Easter I had to replace the front and rear bumpers cuz my wife got rearended by a 17 year old girl and got pushed into the car in front of her which in turn cracked the front bumper as well. So, unfortunately, I have a lot of experience pulling the bumpers on these cars now.

We gotta meet up sometime bro and share UTEC logs :), I'm always dinking around on mine. What plugs you using right now in your car?
-
Still the stock plugs, but I will probably need to switch them in the near future as well (Denso Iridiums most likely). As for sharing maps, that would be cool. Not sure how much mine will help you though since I need to switch back to Closed Loop Fueling since I am running an automatic trans. That SUCKS cuz it means that I will have to retune the entire car again since I won't be able to take advange of injector scaling.....GRRRRRRRR. TurboXS is starting to piss me off, ever since Phil left they just aren't the same company anymore and NOONE there will help me with tuning an auto since they have no knowledge whatsoever of what to do so that OLF will still allow the auto to shift properly. Or, maybe I should quit bitching and just buy the Easy Street auto transmission (or the Pro Drive one) that needs to be shifted manually (anyone got $50k laying around that I can borrow?)

The last hit and run that happened to me resulted in my insurance increasing....it did about $9k in damage to a $6000 Chevy S10 that I owned. Beside, my deductible will probably be about the same as the damage that was done...oh well.

Hmm...American Family raised mine last time and my State Farm agent said mine might go up if I decide to have it paid through them. To me the cost of painting the bumper ~$250-$350 is not worth that risk. I rather enjoy $43/month insurance payments on a $22000+ car...I think I will out of pocket this one.

Yes, I have several cars and a house all covered by State Farm...and I'm nearly 30, married, clean record, etc... Before I got married my rate on the WRX alone (no other cars, no house, etc..) was $68/month. For some reason State Farm thinks that the WRX is no different than the Impreza and classifies it as a mid-size family sedan  Not that I'm complaining.
