      It says
Warning: you are in violation of a parking regulation as listed below "yard parking"
      Explanation of ordinance 723
The first three items, no parking 8-4pm, no parking 1-7am, and no parking 2-7am, are violations of Ordiance No. 723. In summarizing this ordinance it says in effect: that for a period of time once each week (usually 8 hours) you will not be permitted to park in front of your residence or other places as so designated by the ordinance. This ordinance was passed to allow for better street cleaning, snow removal, street repair, utility repair, and other purposes. Please adhere to it or you may recieve parking citations and may have your vehicle impounded.

Oh yeah my car parked there is SOOO in the way of snow removal on the street. Dumb wannabe cop. Now I still realize it's illegal, but at least give me the proper Ordinance information.

your not guilty if the ordinance is incorrect. on a side note, there was a guy in my parents block that had six cars parked horizontally in his driveway for about four years before the police did anything about it.

          1. Storage Of Vehicles: No motor vehicle requiring a license, whether licensed or not, may be stored in any residential district. Stored, for purposes of this section, shall mean the keeping of a motor vehicle without moving the motor vehicle for a period greater than ninety six (96) hours. This section shall not apply to any motor vehicle in an enclosed building or parked on a driveway. As an exception to this section, one licensed recreational vehicle may be stored on a residential lot without being moved for a period not to exceed eight (8) months.

call it a recreational vehicle... i mean it is for off road use only right 🙂

Just because the officer did not cite the correct ordinance does not mean that he is not in the wrong. Yeah it sucks that you have to move the car, but shit happens.

Can you just move the vehicle from one side of the driveway to the other periodically? You say it won't move to well on this ice, yet, so far this winter has been pretty generous to us and we haven't been hit hard. So just keep the ice off the driveway and move it around. If it's not in the same place all the time than they can't complain, right? Or they would be in the wrong.. And in the end, they couldn't do anything about it and you save w/o having to pay storage fees.

that wanst the point... if your car is legally parked and there is a parking ticket on it do you pay it? if your car is parked illegallly but you have a speeding ticket on your windshield do you pay it?

It's not illegal to park your car there, so leave it. Talk to the police about it, or confront your neighbors about it.

It would be if he had a cement slab. IIRC the car is parked on grass, then it is against city ordinance.

Than spray paint on the car cover..

"Hahaha @ U!" or something, so they get even more pissed and would eventually just drop the situation and in the end you probably wouldn't have to keep moving it around, only a couple times I bet 🙂
