Grinding

I drove a 5-speed at work 2day...and i was gunna put it in reverse and when i mademy way into reverse it started grinding and then i shoved it in reverse and it didnt make a sound...what is it???

syncho's. that my guess, or you clutch was not fully disengaged or pushed in.

So you just grinded into reverse? Did you pull it out of a forward gear right before you stuck it in reverse or did you just start the car and never let the clutch up and stick it in reverse?
