does anyone know how to get free cable...like using a scrambler or whatever its called that is slightly frowned apon by the law?

You would have to see what unit your cable company uses. I remember when cablecom fargo was analog it was easy to decode. But now that its digital i dont think you can get around it. Like listening to digital cellphones on a radio scanner. Analog cellphones are a different story. Those were the days!
If your cable company still has analog just climb the pole and hook it up. Like fargo you get the regular channels no hbo,shotime,cinemax etc. But is better then nothing.
When you get caught cable companys more then likely just cut your wire off at the pole. If you hook it up again they will install anti cable theft devices on your tap. Those are easy to remove with the right tools.

It's also illegal and is theft of service. They can easily tell if someone is leeching too, just like a power company could easily tell if you threw a coil next to a power wire and tried to leech "free energy" from it. If you already are subscribed to their service and want more channels for the same price, that's a different story.

well is there a way to do it kinda like how you can get free wireless internet from others by picking up their signal?...i dont know too much about this kinda stuff

no...not for where it would be going...but i have cable at a same location in the same town..like 2 miles away
