Tickets

I recently got a speeding ticket, 66 in a 25, it was in an area where the speedlimit comes down from 55 - 25 fairly quickly, and i was still speeding i know. My question is, the week after i got my ticket, a 12pt ticket, they raised the limit to 35 in the same area, do i have a case to get my ticket reduced?
Another thing, after getting this ticket, and finding out i only had 6 pts on my liscense at the moment, i took a defensive driving course online, from the DMV website, and sent it in to get 3 pts back. I got it back in the mail saying it wasnt fromt he right place. But it was off the DMV website, what gives?

For an infraction like that, it's worth talking to a lawyer.
Also, the lawyer would tell you if there is an angle about the limit changing.
The lawyer might suggest that the speed transition was too abrupt, and that the original posted limit of 25mph was unreasonable - so much so that it was changed shortly after your citation. Are there other examples of 55->25 transitions anywhere in the city? State? How far into the 25 zone were you? Etc etc.
Basically if you let a 66 in a 25 stick on your record you're going to get sodomized by insurance for a few years. It will cost you many times the face value of the ticket.

were you past the posted sign of 25mph?? you could be going 55 mph till the instant you hit the 25 mph sign.
I just took a Defensive driving course and asked the Sheriff this question directly. And the 3pts dont apply to your record until you serve the time for the suspension of the license.... I tried this as well but couldnt
I only had a total of 14 points after i got a 10 point streetracing ticket in my 3/4 ton diesel cummins

wouldn't 66 in a 25 get you a little time in jail since its double the posted limit???
