In my head I'm thinking 3 things...one "it's fucking -20 outside, 8pm"...and two "I am one block from home"...and three "IF I WAS DRIVING A BRAND NEW BMW, ETC. I WOULD NOT BE GETTING PULLED OVER"...that was the main one...those are the reasons I was pretty pissed...You forgot the real point #1, by not displaying a front plate, you are BREAKING THE LAW, whether its -400 or not, driving a new Enzo or not, that is illegal. Put a plate on or shut up about it already.

and jim, sorry to hear that bout ya...did that happen in the twin cities?

thats pretty much bull shit; it doesnt matter what your driving, he still has a job to do. So no matter what you do it profiling because he pulled you over? get over the 14yr old like argument. -
Torbert how are you being profiled??? did he pull you over multipul times for the same thing??? also he let you go with a verbal warning.... and he wasted what 3 min of your ohh so valuable time....:drunken_smilie:
My question is when are you going to grow up and realize that the world doesn't revolve around you??
And for your stupid rant about how if you had a nice car this wouldn't have happened... well i got pulled over in my s2000 3 weeks ago for no front licence plate and expired tabs. WHAT no way i was driving a nice car that shouldn't have happened.....
-
When my car was decent I got pulled over maybe once every 3 months for something like tint or no front plate. Now that it's more beat up and I don't hardly wash it I haven't got pulled over at all in a year and half or so even though I still have tint and no front plate

To answer your first part...it's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. Just as you are entitled to yours. And I said I was thankful for him being speedy and nice about it...leave it at that.
Second, how does a world revolving around me or not have anything to do with what I said? Kinda confused on that one...:icon_scratch: ...all I have done is stated my opinion on stuff and nothing more. But I guess if that's how you perceive it, whatevs.
And my bet is that he pulled you over for no tabs and decided to get you for no front plate while he was at it...and why were you driving the s2k 3 weeks ago? its winter y0.

yeah, man i get profiled hard down here... driving either the bmw or the mercedes they will pull me over for anything, and not to sound like a broken record, i'm sure it's partially becuase i'm asian... and thats not really that bad of a thing.
seriously, there are so many ghetto asians down here, and ill be the first to admit that they cause like SO many of the problems.
anyway, i used to not run a front license plate on my spyder just becuase i never found the bracket that i needed, but then again i was never pulled over for it.
front license plate doesn't really detract from the cars looks much, and if it will prevent you from getting targeted then you should put it up...
it's kind of like tinted windows down here, they fuckin pull me over for that shit all the time but I KNOW its bc they want to check to 1) see if i was drinking 2) see if i had any drugs in the car...
even though i hate getting pulled over, if you are generally nice to the cop (in most instances) they will be as friendly as can be expected... when you knowingly break the law you have to be ready to accept the consequences (aka speeding, dui, no front license plate, tinted windows)....
it sucks but generally speaking the laws arent enacted to just hate on younger guys with faster looking cars, they are specific reasons which to some extent have some validity.
ok maybe too much drinking for me tongiht lol sorry drunk post

The world revolving around you statement, has something to do with you because, yes it is your "opinion" but even after many people have made very valid statements that prove you wrong, you still have the same opinion. Anyone over 14 would recognize that they are wrong, you fail to do so.
And yes you are being profiled, the police profile law breakers. You broke the law, they called you out on it, how is this profiling?
Ive never gotten pulled over or written up for anything i wasnt doing, and ive even had the priviledge of getting out of a very deserved street racing ticket. No this isnt always the case, but most of the time, the police dont pull people over for the hell of it, and im sure he wasnt too happy about getting out of his warm patrol car to talk to someone while standing in subzero weather, he wasnt doing it for his health, or because you had a honda, he did it because it is a written law and you were breaking it.
And no, he saw that Matt had no front plate and turned around, the tabs were NOT the first reason to pull him over.

Oh, and what is wrong with some profiling? The police aren't gonna watch little ol Grandma Jane in her Buick because 99% of the time she isn't going to commit a crime. The cop is more likely to catch a younger person in a sporty looking car than an old lady.
Now there are cases such as with Jim where its pretty BS

How? the cop not show?want to win? heres the defense. ANYTHING added to a vehicle that is NOT factory equipment is technically illegal since it is not FACTORY EQUIPMENT. if dodge didnt think i needed a front plate, sold 1000 of them legally to consumers with no option for a bracket, then you can eat my ass if im putting holes in a 40k dollar car. they dont make a model A put in a seat belt and they dont make a 64 impala install an airbag and that is SAFETY EQUIPMENT. enforce it all or dont enforce any of it.
case dismissed.
