So, what happened to give it a "salvage" title?

I believe the story is that it was rearended with under 10 miles on the clock or some ridiculously low mileage

Something along those lines. Unsure on the actuall event. It was with under 20 miles on it, in 1993. The car has lived 14 years and 117k miles more, so, there isnt anything to be worried about with it.

It has factory floormats. That makes it 'mint.'

+1 for a clean 240. They're getting very hard to find...
