Looking for a place to ceramic coat my downpipe, if you know what I mean...

Well, both I suppose. I had my old dp wrapped, and it really looked like hell after one winter, so I'm not really interested in that again. I'll probably just wind up installing it as is. At least the cat isn't in the engine bay with the new pipe (going from a CNT to a Cobb).

If you ride a bike and want to meet up with other peeps who do, this is the place to do it. A few of my clubs out in AZ used Meetup.com and it worked great.

So please, feel free to share the link on Facebook and Twitter and lets get the word out there!

This is such a low traffic forum that it would be great if we could get more riders on here.

Welcome to FS, One trip to the junkyard could turn that car around. Hood, headlights, corner lights, tail lights, and some interior pieces would do this car miracles. I bet that for under 250 bucks you could have this car looking fresh.

I ran an 11.87 (spinning tires) at Sabin and 11.54 at BIR (spinning tires); both were done with 1st gear burnouts. This car is an easy sub 11 car if you can get traction. The car is painted Daytona blue and overall looks all right. There are a few chips in the paint and the paint was only applied to the exterior and door jams. Under the hatch is still red and the engine bay has quite a few nicks from removing and installing the motor several times. Shoot me an email, pm or call if you have any questions.

For sale, a 2004 United USHMT motorcycle trailer.

Trailer is in great mechanical conditions. Tires are good, wheel bearings replaced this winter. Wiring redone this winter as well.

Cosmetically the trailer has been well used. Current lettering is faded and some has peeled off. (About 250-300 to have a shop remove remaining lettering)
The trailer in general shows wear and tear from usage but is sound and pulls extremely well.

If you have any questions or for more pictures call.

In the process of putting a Jegs "direct" fit cage in a 69 Firebird. Do the 6"x6" mounting plates have to sit flat or can I bend them at a 90 degree angle? If not, the rear hoop will be welded to the very outer edge of the plate. Or can I bend that for more weld support and weld another 6"x6" plate under the half that still lies flat? I need to make sure this thing is NHRA legal and I dont have the book yet. Let me know on here or call or text 701-541-1876. Thanks guys!

    Greetings-

Just moved back to the area (a month ago) for the second time. Last time was a few years ago after I got out of the service. Decided to move back to AZ to get away from the MN winters so I spent the last two years out there. To give some background on me, I grew up riding dirt bikes periodically (didn't have one of my own, so I had to ride my friends KX250 when he'd go out) and then moved out to Arizona when I got stationed there. I got into import tuning and bought, modded and tuned up a 2000 Celica GT-S that was a terror on the Auto-X tracks. After that got boring, I took the plunge into sportbikes and started riding with a few clubs out in Arizona and started doing trackdays in ~2007. I've had several bikes over the years; 95 ZX6R, 05 ZX6R, 98 VFR, 01 SV650S (track), 02 ZX9R, 08 ZX10R and now a 11 ZX10R ABS.

Now I am back in the area and looking for people in the Fargo-Moorhead area (as well as the Lakes area) to ride with on the weekends and do some trackdays, maybe even CRA next season. Since I didn't ride too much back up here, I'd like to see the roads people ride on. I am used to the twisties in Arizona and rode in the canyons quite often (at least once a week). So I prefer twisties like back in AZ, but I know the geography probably doesn't allow for too many. I just like to go on casual, yet challenging rides and save all the crazy antics for track days. I'd also like to meet friends to get together and watch AMA/WSBK/GP on TV and do some grilling, go out on the town for a few drinks, grill on the weekend or ice fish/snowmobile/etc in the winter. I have a lot of hobbies, mostly which follow sports (hockey, football, motorcycle racing), working out, hobby electronics, technology, sports and photography.

Currently, I work weekends as a bouncer in Fargo and am going back to school to finish up my Electronic Engineering and Computer Science degrees (2 years left on both degrees). I am originally from Detroit Lakes, but am staying in Pelican Rapids at my girlfriend's dad's house until we finalize on our place in Fargo around the first of August.

    So onto my hooptie...
These are some old pictures... at least a few months ago. Just a sampling, I have some newer, higher quality ones if anyone wants to see them...

    Anyways, bike has the following mods;
    Evan Steel Performance suspension setup
Revalved (stiffer) stock Ohlins front dampner
Euro Kawi converted tail (turn signals integrated into tail instead of the US spec Kawi stalks)
    Modified Yoshi fender eliminator
    Rifleman 1/5th turn throttle insert
    Red/Black folding/extendable levers
    Black Zero Gravity windshield
    Black Zero Gravity windshield bolts
High and low beam 6000K HID conversion
    Driven bar ends
OES frame and fork sliders and rear spools
    Driven engine block offs
    Pair valve removed
    Graves Mirror block offs
    M4 GP exhaust
    Pipercross race filter
    Tuned PowerCommander V
    Guhl flashed ECU
    Royal Purple fluids
    Kawi rear cowl
    Sato Racing hooks
And I am sure I am forgetting stuff...
Dynoed at roughly 185HP/79TQ on 91 Octane with a conservative tune
    legacy image

    Things I have but not installed include (mainly track day stuff);
    Attack Performance race plastics
    Attack Performance rear link
    Woodcraft Rear sets
HD Hero 2 /w battery bacpac and wifi bacpac/remote with a ton of accessories

    Things I need/want to do
Upgrade the rear shock to a TTX unit and install the Attack Performance rear link and redo suspension settings
Purchase a Hotbodies rear tire hugger
Drop one tooth on the front sprocket (bring the gearing inline with the S1000RR)
Switch out the factory Kawi titanium header and M4 GP for a full Ti Graves system
    Marchesni wheels
    Countless other things...

Anyways, I hope to see some of you guys out on the road, and if you have a weekend ride going, let me know and I will try to make it! Thanks!

History: This car was a salvage vehicle many years ago, I believe 2005, and sat in storage until last fall when I began work on it. It has been repaired by me and the entire process has been documented in this thread with detailed pictures.

    http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/paint-body-work/1375057-00-z-body-rebuild-thread.html

The car currently has 34,100 actual miles on it, with NO RUST and some add ons. The title is repaired salvage. The car has been checked for straightness on a frame machine and the passenger ÂĽ panel replaced. A new radiator was installed and the A/C blows ice cold, all accessories work like new. Front frame and core support have minor damage but is all in front of the crossmember, from the first accident. Interior is Ebony in good shape.

    legacy image

The LS1 is still stock with minor bolt ons:
    !EGR
    !AIR
BBK 1 ¾” longtube headers and ORY
    Borla 3” stainless adjustable exhaust
Brand new Nitto 555 tires, 295/45-18 rear and 245/45-17 front
Lightening involving removing bumper supports and frame horns
    Black marker lights
    Black housing Halo projector headlights
    Ebay Sunoco style hood
    SS style spoiler
SJM ABS delete with line lock
    Speedglass Lexan rear window- tinted
Rear is G80 limited slip with 4.10 gears
Installing a PTC 4200 stall converter this weekend
    E85 1-bar SD tune

    legacy image

This car need few minor things, a radio mounting plate, the hood fitted and painted and spoiler painted. The factory sail panel has not been reinstalled and needs painted. Rims are real Y2K C5s but they are not in the best shape. I have put over 2000 miles on it since completing the repairs and have had no problems, I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.

    legacy image

I do not need to sell this for any reason, I have owned many 4th gens and I just don’t like driving the cars much. This is a great running car and is 3500lbs with nearly a full tank and a 185lb driver

    PM me for more info

We are the 2nd owner, we have owned it for 1 year, and taken very good care of the vehicle. The vehicle there is absolutely nothing wrong with this vehicle, everything is in perfect working order. We bought it last year thinking we needed an SUV but never did anything other than drive it like a car, so we are buying a new smaller car. I have taken the time to take pictures of the entire vehicle, so you should be able to see how nice it really is. Both catalytic converters and 02 sensors have been replaced under warranty within the last year at Gateway Hyundai, and the timing belt and water pump were replaced at 75,000 miles by private mechanic(no, I don't have a receipt). The car has had front and rear brakes replaced around 70,000 along with top of the line Firestone Destination tires. This thing will go ANYWHERE you want it to go in the winter. Overall, this has been a great reliable vehicle, and will make someone very happy.

*FARGO – FARGO – A 26-year-old Fargo man died this afternoon after crashing his motorcycle at 1505 34th Ave. S., Fargo police Sgt. Ryan Dorrheim said.

Authorities received reports about 1:30 p.m. that a man had lost control of his motorcycle and veered left while eastbound on the residential street, striking a light pole.

The man was unresponsive when police arrived. Dorrheim said he did not know if the man died at the scene or on the way to the hospital.

Police have not determined the cause of the accident, Dorrheim said.

Jeremiah Berlin, an eyewitness to the accident, said he saw the victim driving by himself down the street at a high rate of speed before he lost control, veered to the left and jumped the curb.

Berlin, who said the man was not wearing a helmet, said the motorcycle fishtailed and he struck the pole headfirst.

Berlin said his son was only feet away at the time of the accident.

“I tried to get my kids inside and call 911 as fast as I could,” Berlin said.

Initial reports from the dispatch center stated a witness performed CPR on the victim, Dorrheim said.

Police could not confirm if the 26-year-old was wearing a helmet. Dorrheim, who is part of the accident reconstruction team, said they also cannot confirm how fast the Fargo man was traveling until further investigation.

The victim’s name will be released when his next of kin are notified, Dorrheim said.*

Sucks to lose a fellow rider, but if you're acting like a squid and not wearing ATGATT, if you do wreck you deserve whatever comes to you. My guess is he was probably wearing an Aeropostatle shirt, some plaid board shorts, flip flops, rip off mall shop Oakleys and a backwards hat and tried to show off. Call me what you want, mean, cynical, an asshole... but if you're flying down city streets, not wearing gear and their are kids around you deserve a Darwin Award.

Side note, looks like a 1st Gen SV650, anyone know if he was from the boards?

I have my 1998 Honda Civic Coupe I bought from a customer with the intention of putting a motor in it and flipping it. I just don't have the time to tackle this, although it would only take someone an afternoon to swap it. 7th Ave. has a good motor for it on the shelf. 7th is currently asking $600 for the motor, but Del told me he would sell it to me for $375. The car was ran low on oil and too long between oil changes, and spun a bearing.Timing belt intact so head is still good. Someone Buy this thing!!!

    Bad:
    -Spun Bearing
    -No Speakers, or CD Player
-Slight Crease in Passenger side door, missing some paint, but not very bad.
    -missing Drivers side sideskirt.
    -Front bumper cracked.
-Tabs on front windows are broken, so you have to hold the window when you roll it back up

    Good:
-Head is still good(timing belt intact)
    -New Tires.
    -Si Blades
    -astro Start
    -hardly any rust
-Professionally repainted 4 years ago, stock color, paint is immaculate.

I tried to take a picture of the whole car, and the bad parts i spoke of ^up there^.
    Will post vin ASAP.

Due to the West Fargo event this weekend being cancelled, a new event was scheduled. This event will take place as a 2-Day event on Saturday August Forth and Sunday August 5th. The event will be at the West Fargo Fair Grounds. Registration typically closes at 10:15am.

Everyone is encouraged to come out and participate. Your car will have to pass a tech inspection, and you will have to do some registration paperwork (Event Registration and Weekend SCCA Membership, if you are not at SCCA Member). Also, all racers will also have a "work" station for when they are not racing.

To speed up the process if you have never came out and raced, make sure to remove any loose items from your car before you head out to the event(Floor mats, garage door openers, clutter, ect) and you can also print off registration papers from the Badlands SCCA Website at the bottom of the Events page.

    http://sccabadlands.org/Events.html

Anyone with questions about the event, or Auto-X in general can feel free to PM me, or ask in this thread.

I was really hoping to make it to this one as I worked my ass off this last week getting my car back together but it just wasn't meant to be. Toasting a diff at 8am ftl.

Whats the best kind? I know they help save gas and add a little hp if you have a fan running on your belt. Opinions? I want a good blowing one that doesn't cost a lot and the best place to get one.

Yes I know what rotating mass is. NEVER would have guessed that they weigh close to 10lbs though. Shit, that's like spinning an extra wheel.
