Just letting you all know that the Badlands-Region SCCA will be holding the first autocross of the 2007 season in Minot on Saturday, May 12th. Registration starts at 9:30 and competition is scheduled to begin at 11. The event is to be held in the North Dakota State Fairground parking lot and normally lasts until 4 or 5 in the afternoon. Hope to see some of you there! -Adam

Wow! one of my all time favorite bands! The were a "punk" band back in the day, but now I'd call them regular rock-n-roll. I'll be there. fyi: download their album "live at the Roxy", they are excellent live.

I've run with the BMW club at DCTC before. It's not a bad time, especially if you haven't done any track time before. Note that you won't get any faster than about 60mph on the DCTC course. In the morning you do different car control drills... slaloms, braking drills, lane toss, etc. By the end of the day you are out running laps of the DCTC "circuit", but with a few cone chicanes left in to keep you from getting any real speed. That said, it's still a fair bit of fun, and if you haven't had any driver training, this is the ideal event to get your start. Normally the BMW club likes you to do this event first before doing an event at BIR.

Here is an update: I have not chosen a date but the 15th of sept is looking like the date Cost is 140 a driver/car we will allow grip or drift. sessions of 1/2 and 1/2 maybe done unless there is group with more of a showing in which case the times may be altered.
