Ok, so I have had a problem. I have a pioneer 300W amp that WAS in my truck up until yesterday. I came to work, (And the only reason it's gone is the fact I didn't lock the truck...), and went in. After I came out it was gone...Thing is, My co-worker's buddy had the guy approach him and Chris, the one who stole it, wanted him to buy it. Now, chris works in the coffee shop right next door to us, so bad move if you ask me. Now, this is where I am at a loss. My boss said to report it to the police, but I don't have proof on me that it's mine, but I do have the box that it came in at home...not sure if that is enough, but anyway, so I am stuck, Do I call the po-po's or do I wait to see if jesse's friend is going to buy and it and just give it back. Personally, I don't really care if I get it back or not, the thing is, I had oakley's in my truck a week earlier, so I wonder if he took them...Anyway, Saw other people venting so I figured I would to...:icon_rr:

Well what im saying is if the serial number on the box matches up with the number on the amp. Then it would prove that it was yours. But i dont know if they print the numbers on the boxes like in other things. If worst comes to worst just try having him buy it back for faily cheap. Or go mug him.

Go over to chris's house and take something of equal or greater value. Then chris will know how it feels. Better yet have jesse go over to chris's house then it doesnt look ovious.

give me his name and the name of the place where he works and the box to your amp. I will get the amp or how ever much you think its worth out of him. -

For ex:, when I was in court, I heard how this guy was in for theft, he stole something of value from this kid who owed him like $70, which was a ps2, than pawned it off for the cash... Now, the other kid reported the item stolen to the police, and the kid who stole the ps2 got a fine + had to pay back the kid for the ps2.. So in reality he got the shit-end of the stick.I would look thru the box that the Amp came in, there should be papers of serial #'s, and etc. etc.
If no luck, just corner him with numerous friends and beat him up,
hard for him to fight that, since that could be hard to prove

Just call the cops. You have nothing to lose. You have the box it came in. Just don't be a dick to the cops and you should be ok.

Tell the cops if they don't solve the problem your .44 magnum will. Case closed in a week.

i ran this situation by a cop friend of mine. He said chances are that the kind of guy that would do this
ie: steal something with hopes of reselling
would have a previous record of similar problems. Get as much info together as you can and goto the police station. Fill out a police report. If there is a record they'll do a little more work, after a week they'll get back to you. If something easy turns up, your golden. If it takes to much time they'll say "we couldn't find anything".
