take it to court?
-
everybody on here will say the exact same thing about any question like this... fight it, for a variety of generic and long winded reasons.
-
Not only will it cost you $$, your insurance company is going to find out about it too...id fight it for sure. Just make sure you have CARB legal exhaust so if the judge trys to bring any of that up, or the officer, you can have them inspect the vehicle and show that it's fully CARB legal.

That ricer lingo means nothing to me
jk joel. I take it that it's aftermarket and thus not CARB legal. If not, depends on if he's willing to swap it out with stock really quick, OR, weld on some cat. guards so if it's uncatted it will appear to have cats on it. -
well im not fighting the exhuast, i didnt get a ticket for that. i want to fight the exhibition driving. i cant use a video??wtf how else could i prove that it was my BOV and not my tires?
-
you should go to the court date, declare your intention to contest the ticket, then they will set you a trial date. Then you get to meet your public defender (free) and ask him all the questions you want. All us forum guys have opinions and advise, but a lawyer knows the law and what you best options are.

Cops can be dicks though and if your exhibition driving ticket gets thrown out they can try land you with that exhaust noise ticket then or try get you an emissions ticket instead. There have been times when cops will "let you off" with only 10 over vs the 15 over you were doing, people will contest it, and the cop will then change it back to the 15 over if you lose the court appeal and then you get d'd in the b 2x.

a BOV venting to atmosphere is not legal from any/all info that i have found on the matter.
