So I just need to vent cuz this shit pisses me off so damn much. So I started at Concordia this fall and I started on warning status, which means I have to meet with someone once a week about how I'm doing in classes. So I went today and the lady gives me a whole lecture about missing classes and how I'm not doin so hot. Well I've had bronchitus for about 3 months and haven't gotten over it, its mostly my fault since I haven't been able to quit smoking, but it takes alot out of me and I end up missing classes. Well I have talked to my profs and they're all alright with me making the missed work up. But this lady goes well maybe you should just go home for the semester and come back in january. Well I say fuck that!!! I came to school to get away from home and I know I can get caught up, even if I am sick. Its fuckin stupid shit!!!

No I'm not bitching that I'm sick or that I have work to make up. I'm bitching because this lady had the dumb sense to tell me to just go home and give up. I thought that was the dumbest remark I've ever heard. And now I can't even go to school next semester anyway, because I'm goin to basic training. So I've pretty much ruined my first year of college, other than this semester. Yea for me!!!

IMHO, your not gonna get much sympathy here, whether you were looking for it or not... Concordia already has your money for this semester... they don't give a fuck whether you go to class or not, or if you stay there... -
I've always thought that it was funny how they "dont care if you are sick" yet they yell at you for not showing up if so.....BUT you pay a shit load of money to go. So what do they care if you show up or not? You are the one paying to go. They got your money so what does it matter to them if you attend or not?

No you guys aren't getting my point. The thing I'm pissed about is that what this lady said to me was super ignorant. I knew I was behind, I had already talked to my profs and they are fine with me making up my missed work. But she thinks that I'm way more behind than I am, and so she just goes and says "Maybe you should just go home for the semester".
