I have a junker I got for a hundred bucks but it will never be close to fast. The only money that goes into that pos is gas. But we should also have a demo in the spring.

Im down I got a mid eighties subaru XT something or other.
AWD Turbo TBI POWA. -
Heheh lank shoulda set up some better rules man. Im going to look at a 69 ford torino GT fast back this weekend. Only $100 needs an engine but has a perfectly good 4-speed in it. Surface rust and needs rear quarter panels.... grind out the rust bondo it up and get new quarter panels. Primer it up and he has a friend that has a perfectly good 390 waiting to be dropped into it for another $500.
Ill be well under the $1500 range and have a big ol V8 to kick your ass with... oh man I hope its not to beat up. The guy is a friend from work that needs to rid of it bad so he is letting it slip so damn cheap, and he said its an easy fix.

Hey what kinda shape is that XT in? My mom bought one in 86 brand spankin new fully loaded... even had the air adjusted front end and everything. She loved that car and has been looking for one ever since... if its in good condition and your willing to sell it im sure she would be willing to buy it

Well what sort of rules would you want to change? I'm just flying by the seat of my pants on the rules.
Also that 69 Ford torino would be perfect. Raw power vs turbo it would be a great race. Not only that put after the race you could get a pretty penny for it when you sell it.

No after im done with the junkyard part of it its going to get dismantled... interior is getting redone by a friend of mine... paint and body done by a friend also, and im going to take the engine hand polish most the parts then send the rest to get chromed... going to be my little baby.
Such and ugly but oh so awsome car... always wanted an old muscle car. The torino was kinda the retard of the muscle car era!

Find a 1g dsm for $1500 thats not going to break its transmission. Besides if I get that torino GT and put that 390 in there and finish the body work and primer it myself thats only roughly $900 and leaves me with $600 left to spend on the engine... and $600 can get big big gains out of a V8. I bet I could push 350hp out of that 390 easy.

I don't know if we should let DSM's in this.
Probably shouldn't...shouldn't allow anything over a 4 cylinder in either probably...otherwise I will have to bring the Hemi-Volare, and that wouldn't be fair either. Either that or the other car my dad and I bought for $1400...1972 Charger w/ an alcohol burning 383 w/ triple 2 barrels, Dana 44 rear end, ladderbars, etc.... gotta love small town auctions
But I won't be bringing those, wouldn't be fair, just because I got a good deal on a V8 muscle car. I'll take my chances w/ my geo if I decide to get into this..... Seems like it would be more fun.

I'd also say no car that started life as a turbo...but thats just me
