Find a 1g dsm for $1500 thats not going to break its transmission. Besides if I get that torino GT and put that 390 in there and finish the body work and primer it myself thats only roughly $900 and leaves me with $600 left to spend on the engine... and $600 can get big big gains out of a V8. I bet I could push 350hp out of that 390 easy.

shit if we can do that then ill just enter in the nova...but i thought this was a turbo junkyard race not old muscle

Probably shouldn't...shouldn't allow anything over a 4 cylinder in either probably...otherwise I will have to bring the Hemi-Volare, and that wouldn't be fair either. Either that or the other car my dad and I bought for $1400...1972 Charger w/ an alcohol burning 383 w/ triple 2 barrels, Dana 44 rear end, ladderbars, etc.... gotta love small town auctions
But I won't be bringing those, wouldn't be fair, just because I got a good deal on a V8 muscle car. I'll take my chances w/ my geo if I decide to get into this..... Seems like it would be more fun.

And im sure you have more then $1500 in your nova...Tjamz you just suck... wanna pawn that charger off for oh say $2000? Or you know of anyone with a decent shape 69 AMX or old Gremlin? I would LOVE to find an old Gremlin or AMX... 304 with a 4-speed in the Gremlin or a built 390 BB in the AMX.... oh man... gotta keep mind set on boosting focus.

- $1500 Budget W/Car and parts
- No more then 4 cylinder's
- Car cannot come turbo charged
- The contest if for the fastest quarter mile time
- You can have teams!
- Car has to be street legal
- We race in July when there is a street legal night
Anything else guys? I would also love to see a metro or a fesita in this.

sorry neither car is for sale...I just co-own them with my dad, he won't part with either of them (neither would I) Worst thing is he has several cool cars at his farm but never races any of them.
(69 GTO Judge, 59 Ford Fairlane retractable hard top, 49 Pontiac Chieftain, 69? El Camino, 66 Impala SS... and soon a supercharged 2004 F150)
Now you all know where I get my love of cars from, though it did take me a while to make the transition to technology from displacement.

For example "Lets say you have a no2 kit laying around and intall that on your car, thats $500 bucks that should be taken off your budget."

correct me if I'm wrong, but the na DSM motor isn't a 4G63 is it? Will the turbo parts just swap over? I don't know, I'm not a DSM guy.

89-92 before 4/92?(im assuming the n/a motor went to 7bolt too) i believe...i dont know too much about the n/a motors...someone correct me if im wrong...i spose since your not looking to make a ton of power a 7bolt wouldnt be that bad...so go with 89-94
