Anyone install sleeves?

As it turns out the SC 'probably' isn't going to fit. So, I figured "what the hell" might as well boost the piss out of it, so I'm probably just goign to sleeve it this winter, eventhough it won't see boost for atleast a year.
Anyone know what's involved in installing sleeves, my father is a machinist and "should" be able to do this.

No idea what is involved w/ sleeving. Brian @ Sturdevants seems to be a very good machinist as quite a few people seem to be using him for their headwork and any other machine work, I'm not sure if that is who SLS is using, but that is who I'd go to.

i have sleeved hundreds of cylinders when I worked at a Ford Reman factory...all you do is just cut the opening large enough and leave about 4 thousands less.. and we would put the sleeves in liquid nitrogen and then put lots of locktite in the hole and drop the sleeves in..after that we would bore them to whatever size needed..takes time because u have to make 3 cuts on the cylinder walls and then make a final cut on new sleeve and then you have to hone the cylinder

I'd like to hear how yours do after a couple thousand miles of boost. Keep me updated for sure. Would he warranty any work?

Alright, i got some more info squared away today but no finally pricing set yet until we get my block done and see exactly what its gonna take. But more or less w/in the next month it should be done and we should be able to get sleeves done locally. We will be using Darton sleeves. The offer a closed deck design and then the thick wall open deck design. Lookin as if the open deck will be about half the price of the soild deck. Their saying closed deck is good for 40psi and the thick wall open deck good for 20 psi.
