Scrap the car plans, get good grades, get a good job and work your ass off. you wont be thinking $10k is a lot for a car anymore and you'll show your parents.
Otherwise, get "C's" in college, work at Home Depot and live in an apartment all your life wishing you had a $3k for a new beater...

Sorry, but I have to chime in on this due to my first hand experience at being a dumass...torbs wrote:
On another note, if I were you, I wouldnt touch a DSM (even though I have to admit Brian's has been one of the most reliable one's that I have seen) and get the Civic Si...bolt on a turbo kit (with good tuning of course) and run reliable low 13's all day long and still have potential to get 30mpg...thats just my opinion.
Do you want to take advice from this man???Honestly, Brian's car is faster than any Civic si around here, is all wheel drive, better looking than a Civic, and hasn't had a single problem yet. It's just a better car in every way.

I wish it was that easy to get into college, but it's not. But I need a new car cuz this Camaro isn't reliable, Hell I'll sell it to anyone for a grand..ANY TAKERS!

Burthwick you are a dumbass. You do drive around revving your car up. I agree with instigator when he says he burns out at every stoplight, I have witnessed it myself, and don't put this on some other Camaro, because I know it's you. I know for a fact that you are not a very good driver. Why dont you tell everyone about the little "drifting" incident with the curb. You drive around like you think you are some badass in your shitty V6 Camaro. Don't say that you think it is shitty either. In your mind it is badass, you started thinking it was shitty when everyone on here told you it was shitty. You are dumb.

ya if you are having trouble getting into school, put school way before carsboth can be done though...one person inparticular comes to my mind when it comes to going to school and having a kick ass car...I truely respect him for that.
It is possible and don't let people tell you it isn't...but DO NOT let it interfere with actually being able to afford school and get good grades. As soon as that line is crossed you are done for.

I agree that Brians car is totally kick ass...hasnt broke...it is personally my favorite DSM ever if i had to pick one...and that's in all seriousness...
One must remember the ol' DSM saying
"DSM's are always in one of two phases in their life...breaking or broken"
once again though, this hasnt been the case for Brians and it has been a very reliable and kick ass car for him the past years. If you buy it you better take care of it. That thing is awesome.
---and that wasn't bad advice at all!...I just said shit the way it is.

yeah the curb incident was pretty much dumb, but being drunk and having to haul ass home to get ready for work played a huge part and was dumb of me. I want brians car real bad! Better than a camaro anyday dont get me wrong. I was more than happy to destroy my mothers car for the way she is towards me, and yet it's still hers in a way since everything is in her name for insurance wise. If I were to get Brians car, I wouldnt race it at all, I'd fucking baby the hell outta that thing cuz I agree with you, it's a sweet ass car. go head and hate me all u want awd and say whatever u want but im a person in need a of reliable, and camaro is not reliable, never has been since I heard where it's been before we even bought it outta grand auto. and people saying bout me thats not true sure does do a number on me. just my opinion, but doesnt fucking matter anyway. All I need is a reliable to get me to WYOMING for skool, Camaro wont do it.

getting into college is cake as long as you can breathe, have a pulse, and can pay for it. you cant get into any college you want, but hell, a community college is better than nothing.Got accepted at WYOTECH in Laramie, is that a good tech skool?

Not really. If you are going to stay in this area AFTER school, just go to a tech school. WYOTECH is WAY too expensive for the knowledge you get.If you plan on moving to a big city, it looks great on a resume, if you plan to stay in bum fuck ND, it doesn't mean squat.

NDSCS Wahpeton, MSCTC Moorhead, I'm sure there are more, those are just the 2 closest to fargo that offer what you were looking for.
