I haven't seen anyone yet that would conceivably run that I would get too excited over. I won't discuss dems because I can't think of any I'd support. For the reps, I'd hope it's not McCain, he's a wuss on immigration and I disagree with him on a lot of things. I heard a rumor that Newt is considering running, I'd vote for him. We really need to get this resurrection thing figured out and bring Reagan back. :icon_rr:

Newt (or Reagan) would probably get my vote, depending who the left puts up...I really liked Reagan and (take watergate out of the equation) Nixon. I don't know what it is about Newt, but there is something about him I like.

What do you guys like about Obama? You find the usual spew on his web site (I'm for good education, I'm for good jobs, etc.. ). I did some searching on his voting record and it appears that he is anti-gun, he said he is for universal health care, he is for allowing gay/lesbian to get married, etc. Seems to be typical leftist stuff??? He does seem to be a good public speaker, and he talks about bringing the country together... but his votes I don't care for.

They all say what they think we want to hear. It's not who I like the most, but more who I think will fuck us the least. To me it's probably going to be just like the last election. I'll probably be picking what I see as the lesser of two evils.

If you check most of their (politicians) sites, they say they are for good jobs, good schools, good this, good that.... well no shit Sherlock. Everyone is for good jobs, schools, etc. But they never say what they plan to do, thats what I meant by "the same spew".

Now, if they said "I am for good schools, and to work toward that I plan to raise your taxes and spend $XX more on schools" or "I am for allowing you to send you kid to your school of choice by using a voucher system" then that is something that a person can actually use to make a decision when voting. But you rarely get that.
