alas, I'll keep my 4WD though.
drove both and in my personal opinion being pulled through a corner is far easier then being pushed, especially when your tires are spinning on glare ice...

I drove an S-10 4x4 most of last winter and loved it. I kept it in 2wd pretty much all the time unless there was really deep snow and sometimes out on the lake, that's using some pretty wore down car tires on it too. In town it doesnt really matter, but back home out of town we get some deep snow on the roads sometimes. I've gotten stuck in a FWD car, never had that problem with the truck and that doesnt have much ground clearance either.

As far as going through stuff, the Subarus and Audis with AWD seem to go through more stuff than most 4x4 trucks! Then you have Jeeps, which go through more than, uh, well everything, thanks to the 50/50 torque split (but you can't use that on pavement!).
With 4x4 and awd vehicles listed on the poll, I don't even see why fwd or rwd are even listed.
