This video was shot at the World Cup Finals (import vs domestic) this past month.

The "in car" camera was inside John Shepard's 4-cylinder, 5-speed, all-wheel drive mitsubishi eclipse (He ran 7.70 @ 191mph on this pass) His opponent was Mike King (black mustang) who runs a 101mm turbo on a small block radial tire mustang, he ran 7.85 @ 187mph on this pass. The mustang got there first because he got the holeshot reaction time. Watch the Import coming back on strong at the finish line 191mph!!!!

Two very impressive street cars! The fastest side by side import vs domestic street car race in history!

Damn, thats haulin. If that mustang still had the 5.0 then that would explain it losing ground in the top end...

Impressive, almost sounds like he is spinning or something is happening mid track.

He also trapped 195mph that day. The car is to the point its out of control, there's video's out there of him almost putting the car into the wall 3 passes in a row.

Pretty liberal use of the word "street" cars. :icon_cyclops_ani:

That is a crazy looking ride for sure, the car was definitely spinning in the middle of the track, he had his hands full. Notice that the car idles at 3000 rpm, looks like he shifts around 10,000. Fun stuff.

Hence the reason I said "IF" it had a 5.0....and I wasn't saying the Talon lost due to displacement or whatever it is domestic drivers say to make themselves feel better...I just meant that 5.0's usually fall on their faces in the higher RPM's.
