i always thought that they are illegal. just from what I had heard. Here is a quick detector/jammer law info page i found:

That fucked me hard with a 80 in a 75 ticket and a "speed: care required." MN actually ended up suspending my license because of them. -

I dont need any lectures on slowing down, I know I was going too fast......its not like I drive like an idiot everywhere I go. Just happened to be in a hurry, which in turn made the trip longer because of speeding. I want a radar detector because they do work unless you are lasered. The ticket sucks and effects me with insurance, I take full blame and am not making excuses.

not that it matters to you..... but there is always a state patrol (usualy the charger one) sitting right in that area lately, i always see him sitting there when i go into town to drop my girlfriend off.... so this is just a warning to others...... -
