Damn Uptight Neighbors...
-
^^I'll probably hold out on the bonneville til it breathes its last breath. I don't want to spend more money than I have to on a car thats only purpose in life is to get me through the winter. Maybe this will be a blessing in disguise (if i can get the car to my coworkers house without wrecking it) It's in a pretty decent sized garage/barn so I would probably have room to work on it during those long boring days in February.
I'm going to hook up the new amp I just bought though first before I move it and make sure to go back through Westmoor on the way out blaring the damn system at 9pm just to piss whoever off.
-
How much would he want for the buick?
-
Depends on how long it takes to deal with the Mustang. I have class til 5 and then want to install that amp and slowly get the car over to the guys house.
-
I guess we're not bringing it today so I might be able to help
-
put a white tarp over it and tell your neighbors it blends in with the snow

(Ord. 2004-27, 10-18-2004)
c. I thought about the white tarp idea...here is the law on it
5-2-11: PROHIBITION ON PARKING IN FRONT AND SIDE YARDS:
No person shall park in a front or side yard in a residential zoning district except on a paved surface and in accordance with the zoning regulations of the city of Moorhead contained in title 10 of this code. (Ord. 2000-3, 4-3-2000)
So we'd have to lay a cement slab down and make sure it was within zoning regulations, which are pretty strict for our neighborhood (we can't put up a storage shed).
-
I would watch your neighbors yard and if they park with a tire on the grass i would complain to the cops about it.......
-
The thing is i'm fairly certain it's none of my directly close neighbors, the first 2 into the development (we're 3rd in, 2nd house built there) are totally cool with it and don't care, the 4th would talk to us before he'd call us in I think, and the 5th doesn't care about much of anything besides beer I don't think. So it'd have to be someone living further back in Westmoor.

It says
Warning: you are in violation of a parking regulation as listed below "yard parking"
Explanation of ordinance 723
The first three items, no parking 8-4pm, no parking 1-7am, and no parking 2-7am, are violations of Ordiance No. 723. In summarizing this ordinance it says in effect: that for a period of time once each week (usually 8 hours) you will not be permitted to park in front of your residence or other places as so designated by the ordinance. This ordinance was passed to allow for better street cleaning, snow removal, street repair, utility repair, and other purposes. Please adhere to it or you may recieve parking citations and may have your vehicle impounded.Oh yeah my car parked there is SOOO in the way of snow removal on the street. Dumb wannabe cop. Now I still realize it's illegal, but at least give me the proper Ordinance information.
-
your not guilty if the ordinance is incorrect. on a side note, there was a guy in my parents block that had six cars parked horizontally in his driveway for about four years before the police did anything about it.
- Storage Of Vehicles: No motor vehicle requiring a license, whether licensed or not, may be stored in any residential district. Stored, for purposes of this section, shall mean the keeping of a motor vehicle without moving the motor vehicle for a period greater than ninety six (96) hours. This section shall not apply to any motor vehicle in an enclosed building or parked on a driveway. As an exception to this section, one licensed recreational vehicle may be stored on a residential lot without being moved for a period not to exceed eight (8) months.
call it a recreational vehicle... i mean it is for off road use only right

Can you just move the vehicle from one side of the driveway to the other periodically? You say it won't move to well on this ice, yet, so far this winter has been pretty generous to us and we haven't been hit hard. So just keep the ice off the driveway and move it around. If it's not in the same place all the time than they can't complain, right? Or they would be in the wrong.. And in the end, they couldn't do anything about it and you save w/o having to pay storage fees.
