Fuck you Microsoft

WTF? That is gayness. Won't let you download and install or download to a cd or something and install?

Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided to make it so that you MUST use a floppy drive to load RAID/SCSI/SATA drivers before you can install Windows XP. A USB floppy drive won't work either.I have a floppy drive, but I don't have a frickin cable for it.
Who wants to bring a floppy cable to b-dubs tomorrow?...did you already toast the drive? And do you have an available computer?
If both no...there is a way around it....assuming if and only if...you can get access to the files needed for your SATA/Raid/SCSI card (assuming onboard, if so they came with your mobo)...
I wont even go into it unless you answer those questions - if you have another computer, with a CDRW - and have...an hour or two tonight to hammer down. Then I will post a detailed explanation on how to do it....I ran into a lot of issues loading up SBS2k3 on some stupid HP Proliant Servers awhile ago and did not have a floppy drive (fortunately now, there boards have a bootable USB support)

I just really don't feel like going through the process of slipstreaming the drivers cause I'm a lazy ass.
The floppy drive should still be good as I can read the files from my laptop (its an external floppy). I think that the problem is that my mobo doesn't much care for external floppies or something like that. I want to try my internal drive, but I just don't have a cable for it. -

You installed the OS improperly on the HP then. Rule #1 w/ an HP is to start w/ their Smart Start CD and go from there. Conveniently loads in every driver for the system as well as all HP management agents. Easy as fuck.

But I will keep that in mind thanks.
