OK:rolleyes:The AODE/4R70W in stock form can typically handle about 25 to 50 horsepower above stock power levels. Installation of the Valve Body kit will allow 1997 and earlier AODE/4R70W transmissions to perform reliably in a 350 to 375 horspower application. 1998 and later 4R70Ws can handle up to 500 horsepower with just the addition of the Valve Body kit
Doh** I meant the 4R70W, not the AODE. Ooopsies

See, one more reason that Ford > HondaYeah, but those of us that drive hondas are smart enough to drive and shift at the same time so we just get manuals.

His is a manual, mines the auto. It was the only V8 Mustang I could afford at the time I bought it, screw you.

I think My auto is bad ass!! Stock Auto's are pretty gay and i dont think i would want to own one but if you do the right things to them they are pretty bad ass. Auto's tend to break less parts because they are preloaded and they tend to get out of the hole way faster than 5 speeds. They are also more consistent going down the track and it take less time to shift if have your auto set up right. The RPM's dont drop as much so you tend to stay in boost from gear to gear. I would run some sort of auto over a 5 speed any day thats my .02
