ya know technically i dont think that the cops could do shit about it mr. cmk because if his car is registered in a state in which the laws are different and crosses over into another state which boarders where he lives.
in my opinion he cannot ticket him because he doesn't live in the current state where that law is in effect. I bet if he got a ticket and took to court he would win easy.
because if he got a ticket for shit like that, its like oh hey ima go on vacation 3 states away and while driving in them states gets tickets for different various things on his car that are not illegal in his home state. anyone else see the bullshit here?

How is the cop stupid? What is there to say to that? It is still illegal in MN for you to have the tint so you really have no basis to stand on here. Don't drive in MN if you don't want to get hassled for it.
FYI after i said...im from north dakota...my car is registered in ND...he never said another word about the tint....I'm not required to know the laws for every state.:) -
yeah but as gay as it is i believe you can still get a ticket for it that would hold up, i dont agree with this but i think that is how it is

Oh, and you ARE required to know the laws for the state that you are in. Ignorance, while commonplace, is not a justification for breaking the laws.

For example, if you are driving from North Carolina into Virginia with a radar detector, you are responsible for putting it away otherwise they will nail you on it.
While your car may be registered in ND, you are still responsible for the laws in the state which you are in.

Or if somebody drives their R33 or R34 Skyline into North Dakota they are breaking the law by having their car here. Afterall, that car doesn't comply with our nations laws. People do/have driven their Skylines from Canada here before. Perfect 10 is an example.

They can drive there cars in the US when ever they want, if they couldn't they wouldn't be let across the boarder. just like all the other cars that came to the show, the 180sxs, ITR...

Haven't had a front plate for 3 years I think. Never got a ticket for it in the intrepid, cl or speed6. Been pulled over for over stuff of course but they've never mensioned it. Seriously nobody even knows what a speed6 is so hopefully they'll target the German car crowd, if they even do at all around here.

that does make sense you could probally get out of it in court with those fix it tickets or whatever they are called because if your back in your state nothin needs to be fixed, just throwing it out there i really got no idea
-
well....it doenst really matter because after i asked the cop if I was supposed to take the tint off when i came over to MN he never said a word..and i didnt get a ticket for it.
