Push-button start help

Thanks wes, raider has already given me that very helpful information up there.I dont think anyone gets it. I am not having another key made, I AM MAKING A PUSH BUTTON START. I already got the ignition cylinder off the steering column. What I need is labels to my diagram to figure out how to wire my push button start.

basically that is what I'm saying....except that you're gonna want a couple of relays being triggered off that toggle switch to turn on the ignition/ignition2/accessory wires. I have a couple relays laying around my garage somewhere that I'll sell ya for a couple of bucks each (whatever they cost me I'll sell them to you for)...and I'll attempt to explain how to wire them off that toggle switch for ya.

Yes I did solder them mr safety. I didn't wanna take the time to run to a hardware store. And thats 15 cents more i can spend on many other things, everypenny counts in junkyard wars! I will eventually crimp those connections when I get a chance to go to a hardware store. All I have left to do is mount the wires, and I'm ready for HIN!wait...

getting closer their Joel, but I'd use a Single Pull Double Throw relay for EACH ignition wire seperately rather than a toggle switch as most toggle switches aren't capable of withstanding the current that your ignition will be pulling. Here is a diagram on how to wire them (my pin numbers may be off, but the layout is right)

Mine works. I don't know if it will wear out the switch or what, but i have used it a couple of times already. I can meet you somehwhere sometime maybe and we could take a look at it. I have no idea what your talking about or what the diagram is for.
Plus I cant read any of that!

yeah, definately worth the money to spend on relays for that added safety. The toggle switch will burn out of time.

Single Pull Double Throw relays can be purchased at radioshack or I'd imagine just about any parts store or stereo shop. Basically what happens is one side of the relay (Terminal #85 in my example) gets a continuous 12 Volts of power and the other side (Terminal 86)gets a switched Negative 12 Volts of power. When the above happens it closes the contact between terminal 30 (12 Volts Constant) and terminal 87 (Output to ignition circuit) (it might be terminal 87A...I forget which one is the center pin and which is the top pin off the top of my head...either way the top tab/pin is the one you need to connect to) and powers up the ignition circuit.
Like I said, i have a ton of these relays laying around my garage, so if you need a few I can let you have them for my cost.

I'm not sure how a remote starter would make a better relay pack than 3 relays would, but then again I haven't touched a DEI remote starter in 6-7 years...who knows. Like I said, i have a bunch of relays and I could even prewire each of them for ya so all you'd need to do is plug them in to your ignition wiring and to a single toggle switch to control all of them.
