Why one of those

Ignoring my true first car, a light GREEN 1978 4 door malibu with GREEN cloth interior, the '89 Cavalier Z24 was my first car I bought (used) and paid for myself. There is nothing spectacular about it other than it was my first car and I think it's a decent looking car.
Mine was a 3spd auto with a 2.8 MPFI V6 rated for 120-130HP and, IIRC, 160-170 lbs/ft torque. Nobody could ever agree on it's output but either way it ran a high 16 second 1/4. I put exhaust and chip on mine, cleaned up the intake and managed at least a .5 second drop according to a G-Tech meter. The hood was a fully functional, cowl induction, fiberglass piece but was a tad retarded in my mind because it pulled air through passages that went directly over the engine.
When I traded it off it was in rough shape, firing on 5 cylinders, driver seat busted, broken into twice in 6 months. The rear head was screwed. If you remember my post about the spark plug shooting out of the head on my car, this is the car. The next one was helicoiled in and when I went to trade it in something had gone wrong again with that spark plug. I tried to back it out but it tighter as it came out!
Even with all the trouble I had with that car (an alternator ever year among other things) I'd still like to find one and fix it up.
