call me a newbie.....

hey, my name is Chris and im 19. I go to NDSU and my major is pre-dentistry. I have been building cars and tractors with my dad for years. My main auto interests are in traditional (1940s, 50's, and 60s) styled hotrods and customs, but I do enjoy most any car. My winter truck is a 1990 chev fullsize regular cab shortbox stepside with tons of mods. Its PPG Viper Blue base/clear, new interior, AR rims, bigger tires, visor, tonneau cover, racerback, fender flares, brush guard, grille guards, nerf bars, and lots more. Last summer I put a goodwrench 350 crate motor in it and also rebuilt the tranny. In the summer I drive a custom 1981 Delorean. Its red with a body kit, rear spoiler and louvers, blacked out head and tail lights, and all painted PPG porsche red. Interior is black sheepskin leather with red accents and a few momo accessories. Ive won a few awards with it in the last 2 years. A few other cars that weve built are a 1961 buick lesabre convertible, a few 57 chevy belairs, and a 78 corvette pace car. My current projects are a 68 ford galaxie 500 XL convertible, and a 46 chevrolet coupe. I'll try to post some pics of my Delorean that I have saved, and I can find pics of the other cars if someone requests.
Chris
edit: I forgot to mention that the Delorean has a 2.85 liter volvo V6 and a 5 speed, and is turbocharged

Welcome to Fargostreet. I've never seen a Delorean in real life. Do you ever drive that thing around Fargo?seriously? there are atleast 2 of them in Fargo/Moorhead. See them all the time during the summer...
and to me, a delorean just isn't the same unless it's stainless steel shining through:)
The body work....available aftermarket or custom? (glass or steel?)
-
no I havent had my car in Fargo ever. I have talked to the 2 other delorean owners from fargo, but I think the one guy sold his.
I know what you mean about the stainless being cool though, I am a Delorean purist and I love the bare ones too
BUUTTT, when it comes to the ladies, I can guarantee that the red is better

Why would U say that It show s a lot of the good qualitys of filming in the 80s shit how many people on this fourm were born in the 80s come on show of hands? NO and if u remeber correctly in the third movie they had to use a train to get it to 82 MPH...WOohoo to make it travel trough time with marty "Michael J. Fox" and leave the doc "Christopher Llyod" in the western times -
I have NO idea what either of you are trying to say haha
are you both defending the movie, or against it?
