I'm a bit confused, what does a lip + wheels have to do with pistons and an intake?

Anyway, eitherway, your intake should still have a filter on it, and its very very doubtful that your motor is going to blow up or have "dirt" on the pistons (... it gets pretty hot in there ?).

Beyond that, I think like 50% of the hondas out there (and 100% of the hondas not owned by people over 50) have intakes on them... that claim is pretty out there.

Pistons naturally get dirty, its called carbon buildup. But yeah we definitely need to hear the whole story about your lip/wheels getting dirt on your pistons???

            ^LOL!

what dealership is going to pull the head cause a car has an intake. If you have a filter its all good.

My dad has plenty of customers with brand new trucks with Edge boxes, Intakes, and 4 inch exhausts that still go in for warranty work

ok heres the deal. my dad opened my hood for what reason i dont know. but he found that i have an intake on it.. yes i do have a filter on it.. AEM. but he found it took out the warranty paper highlighted some lines came downstairs and told me i had to take it off by friday. he had to justify what he said so he goes, "what happens if you get dirt in the pistons because you have an aftermarket intake?". then he read some other stuff to me from the warranty saying that if there are wide wheels on it that voids the warranty, i read the warranty and it also states that any lip kits void the warranty too. i was a little confused because i only have a drivetrain warranty.

That sure sounds like a bunch of bullshit. Is it a factory warranty, or one of those generic add on ones? Oh and also what car is this on?

here is the biggest problem you are facing, that warranty is NOT an original OEM warranty (Hondas 3 yr 36K miles).....at that age and mileage, im sure it is just an aftermarket warranty that they managed to sell you when you bought the car. In that case, anything and everything goes. It is all written out on that contract and you signed it. If anything doesn't match up with what is written, they have all the right to void it.

I absolutely hate aftermarket extended warranties. They are junk and get out of every single repair possible. A lot of times they do not even cover leaks, bad seals, etc etc. Completely worthless and you made that salesmans day buying that.

Reminds me of the extended warranty Best Buy once tried to sell me for 15 bucks on a 19 dollar pair of speakers. Oh yeah your warranty is probably void anyway because on line 900 on page 3 it says you can't drive your car on a Tuesday.

you should leave it stock because its better that way, not because you bought a POS aftermarket warranty thats only worth the paper its written on.
