limits of walbro 255 pump, 600hp

Grr:
- If I had rich parents that helped me mod my car, that would be sweet. I too wish I had rich parents.
- Rotarys could technically be treated as 2.6L motors due to their design.
Traction is difficult, but I guess we'll see what this year has in store. Chassis work is sweet.
-
Can anyone barrow me their rich parents for a year? Please?
Oh dang, guess I will have to just pay for it myself.
Also, I beleive, and correct me if I am wrong, nicks cars has clocked a faster 1/4 mile time, which really is the only thing that matters....

BTW, it is a walbro 307, that is sooooooo gay. Im actuall kinda pissed about it. On the buick board, they say 550hp with a 307, 640 hpwith a 340 i guess a nice new walbro 340 should be good for another 75hp than this shitty 307 with 40k miles on it. Damn it anyway.

i could give 2 flying shits about anyones times, i built this car for me, the way i wanted it. With no cage, and a assload of torque. BTW, logging the tourque input shows a sweet 600ft-lbs+ from 3500-4200, im gonna put so many miles on this bitch its gonna be sweet, and i wont put a bar in it anyway, so timeslips mean nothing

Remember gsr horsepower means nothing if you just sit at the rev limiter all the way down the track.... i can see it now no traction ever... but did you see my sweet 400hp per liter..OMGHI2OHmight wanna check ur info before u start sounding like an idiot.
have u seen gsr's 60 foots? have u drivin a truely fast car? i know the answer to these by ur comments in ur post. driving a 10 sec car is a little diff then ur 15 sec car. did u know that holding a turbo 5 speed car on the rev limiter through the shift holds boost pressure? which in return brings little to no turbo lag? but then again by ur comments u have no idea whats ur talking aboutthere is alot of assumtions about nicks car. yes he makes a lot of power, yes that much power in a non fwd street car would provide faster ET's

your such a fag, zac can probably make 450hp/liter, big deal, i have all stock shit. wish i had rich parents.so how are ur measuring flywheel TQ? is there some magic genie hanging on to ur crank telling whats going on down there? these are outragous bench racing claims at best
and speaking of the rich parents thing. how much did u pay for ur gto before ur burnt it down? money is money just becuase he has an older car that he decided to put money into modding it instead of buying a brand new car for the same money doest mean he had parental sponsorships, ive known nick for a while and i know what he has done to the car the last few years and i know that his parents are not footing the bill. i think he might be getting a little old for that by now anyway
2 more people for my long list of D-bags

have you ever been inside a new computer system? obviously not. new computerized trannys can tell you all sorts of wonderful things. Its read by the computer in any OBD-2 equipped GM vehicle, and ford, and dodge. how do you think traction control systems, torque reduction and ABS systems work. Its all in there from the factory, so magic genie your own shit.
Fast 60's eh, it better be WELL into the 1.4 range to be considered fast, especially on slicks, i did high 1.6's in this GN when it was BONE STOCK, with sticky street tires. If anyone is a d-bag, it is you sir. -

If anyone is a d-bag, it is you sir.please try not to explain on board computers to me, im a ase and gm certified tech. i daily work on vehicles with with up to 25-30 diff control modules let alone training with hybrid vehicles
what exactly is measuring rotating force (aka torque)? yes i understand u can get an estimate with input and loads but like i said estimate
speaking of being a gm tech, i work on gto's once in a while and ive never had a dealer serviced one randomly burn to the ground? so my question is why would a newer vehicle like this burn to the ground other then faulty installation of a after market part? maybe a n2o kit? hmm i think we should all be taking advice from somebody that cant safely work on a vehicle with out sending it to the scrap yard
hmm yep proving the d-bag theory once again

So, what is going on in this thread? First talking about maxing out a fuel pump, now this has turned into a thread compairing E-penis size.
Who gives a shit, let him think what he wants, if he is proved wrong later, so be it. Also dealerships don't always to the best work you can possibly get, yes they are "factory trained" or what ever, but they still dont always catch everything or get everything back the way it should be.

and gets how many miles to the gallon.look at his teg for instance. That car is pretty damn fast and its a 4 banger Ibet if he drove it as a DD(not sureif he does or not) but i bet he would get over twice the mileage you do and still go as fast at the track:icon_thumleft:
You are a dumb fuck. I would rather drive my Mustang, which gets 27mpg in the highway BTW, over any 4banger on the highway. Comfort wins out over gas mileage. Some of us can afford to drive something other than a piece of shit hatch like yours.
Go back in your hole and hide again.

good thing that nitrous was no longer on the car eh? Maybe the fact that there are over 12K reported issues with the factory soft fuel hose from the firewall rubbing on the engine covers and the firewall itself? Gee, maybe there were 8K braided, abrasion resistant hoses sold in the first 2 months after i reported this problem on the GTO board? up yours
for logging the torque, there is no actual sensor, it is a value calculated using various inputs. The engine crank pos. sensors hall effect (crank acceleration/deceleration= torque ripple) is processed with cylinder airmass vs rpm and load. This is the way i understand it.
Basically, if you log trans delivered torque, advance, KR, MAP, dynamic cyl air, RPM, TPS, speed and O2mv, you basically have a rolling dyno. Though it may not be accurate, once you have a baseline, as far off as that may be, any gains shown through the same calibration are tangible as real world gains. As i said in the first post, accurate or not, im logging this for tuning purposes, and it just so happens that i thought it would be fun to share it. This same process has been used by many many people and shown to be over 90% accurate in all situations that were tested and compared on an actual dyno. BUT, since it is a calculation based on airflow measurements, you must have a fairly accurate VE table for it to work, i.e., the closer your tune is, the more accurate the readout is.
Too bad im a d-bag though, everyone disregard this statement cause i dont know how to work on cars, shit, i bet my entire car is gonna fall apart tomorrow since i did a complete frame off on it by myself. such a shame.

well im not sure what the thread started as but i took some of the comments as a personal attacks on somebody i consider a friend so i steped in to defend
also do u have any idea how many cars are serviced in a gm dealership in a day? do have any idea how many customers dont tell the entire truth about there cars issues?
its funny how the automotive repair field is viewed by outsiders, have u been to doctors office lately? have they diagnosed ur problem the first time everytime correctly? even when a "speacialist" that deals with one part of the body day in and day out still cant figure out and can charge what ever they feel like that dayand yes if calling bullshit on the internet makes my e-penis larger then by calling bullshit in the real world should by now make my real world penis 16.19365 miles long (according to my data logger)
thats it for tonight, i'll check back tommorow to see how many other geniuses put their 2 cents in

the compairson of a buick and an acura is hard to do in general you are probally both right so lets just leave it at that

You are right that i havn't driven a "fast" car. Is there a club i can join when i do hit the FAST times??? if so let me know where it is so i can join... also i didn't know you had to run "fast" times to point out obvious things that are wrong about someones set-up? but i will stop here as i don't know anything and shouldn't be taken seriously....:icon_thumleft:
