I think what matt is trying to point out is that there are several downfalls in GSR's setup(In his opinion) that would make him faster rather than putting a bigger turbo on it...
IMHO,(I'm a 15 second car guy myself so you better not listen to me!)

          1. The slicks are way too small
          2. You have JIC FLA-2's, thats pretty much road race suspension if i'm not mistaken...
          3. Traction bar?

          no race car? becuz homeowner...

And this coming from people who have no clue again.

            1. 25x8x13 = plenty large.

Slick size plays a balance in gearing as well. I have contemplated a 24.5x9x13 this year, but I think I will be running a 25x8.7x13 this year.

            1. JIC FLT-A2 with CUSTOM SPRING RATES

Suspension setup in my vehicle = top notch. Added camber kits and it will be corner scaled and aligned this year.

            1. Traction Bars stop wheel hop, not make 500+ whp hook up.

Still don't have them, don't think I'll be ordering them any time soon, either.

I think they were stating opinions, not facts and certainly no one is going to deny that you have a very fast car, just that they think they may have ideas on how to be faster. Then again, you are like me in this GSR, we have both researched our cars limitations, consulted with people that know more than both of us on these subjects, and then built our cars based on how we want it to perform, and I understand the frustration you are experiencing with people saying "You should have done this/that", but really, who cares? Your times will be faster than theirs (most likely)...doesn't mean others still won't have an opinion that to you or I may seem far off in left field.

Exactly the problem here, most talking have only read not actually built. If you physically haven't built anything how do you have the knowledge?

I can sit online all day and read about rocket science, but can i physically do it/operate it, HELL NO!!

so when you build at a fast car then all the stuff you read about fast cars and how to build them then comes true?

to be fair, anyone can read on honda tech what other people have done to go 11.2 in a quarter and throw so much money at their own car that it is has no choice but be fast, right?

Like Joel commentinmg GSR's slicks are to small and his suspension setup is all wrong, he needs traction bars, has anyone here tried and trued these facts to know, or have they read it?

Once everyone has done it they'll realize its not bolt on parts and you automatically go fast.

It's just beyond me that people comment about what everyones doing wrong that haven't done ANYTHING themselves. It's like me walking into Kevins shop and telling him he's buffing that car all wrong when i've never done it and have no clue.

I am not attatcking anyone or defending anyone here, I am just pointing out that you dont have to know everything in the world if you reasearch what other people have done, had success with, and apply it to your own situation. I am not talking about gsr, chuck, dave, matt or anyone... just a general statement. If you are hell bent on doing r&d on everything yourself its going to be a spendy project. You have to research and learn from other people's mistakes if you are going to accomplish anything in this world.

having said that^ I agree with a lot of what everyone else is saying about first hand experience and how beneficial it is to understanding something but you have to start somewhere, and more often then not you read how deep the pool is before diving in head first.

Getcher green hat, we are goin fishin.
