man i havent seen talk of one of those things in years. that truly is THE ULTIMATE speed part. Nothing quite like putting a gas turbine directly on the ring gear of a car.

I've heard of these, but I have no idea how it actually works. Can someone explain?

I'm guessing that the fuel is delivered directly to the tubine via a line from a pressurized tank. The fuel is injected just ahead of the spark plugs. The plugs ignite the fuel and the escaping gasses spin the turbine. The turbine spins a shaft that has a gear on the end of it. That gear spins the ring gear on the rear diff... I can't imagine how fuel is regulated or how the spark is timed (if at all) but from the looks of it, it just works without a whole lot of extra nonsense.

thats pretty much it, and its not a regulated system, its on or off, thats why you need some big balls to hit that thing, its like a 500hp shot of nitrous, if you could imagine hitting that all in 1 stage. And they dont add anywhere close to 1000hp, but they will add a solid 450-500whp to a vehicle.

Anyone want to help me bolt that on to an avenger? Maybe then the avenger will get some respect. 🙂 Lol...granted it doesn't deserve any anyway...
