No offense to anyone, but it's Fargo, it floods all the time, why do people keep buying houses near the river. Umm...of course it's gonna flood...but then again i'm from a place where we actually have hills and trees and never have to worry bout flooding and all this wind.

I would buy a house by the river so I can have a seasonal indoor swimming pool.

We bought our house in 98 for less than 110,000. Most people who have seen my house can vouch for the fact that its worth well over 200. My dad takes building a dike as a challenge and uses it as a socializing event to meet people around our neighborhood. I'm not even kidding. i'll see if I can find some pics of our dike.

^ I heard about that, it was between Elizabeth and Erhard, bout 5-10 miles from my house and another one up on Lake Lida. I know a few people that went out storm chasing but didnt have any luck. I'd rather deal with the odds of the rare occurance of a tornado that dealing with floods every year, and like there's never been tornado's around here...
