Scam offer??

I wouldn't do it. Tell them to pay for the item first and wait for the funds to clear(could be 2 weeks for the funds to clear considering the amount) and then tell them to pay for shipping.

ok, i wont do it then, but just wondering how i would lose money with a legit check?Watch catch me if you can. People still send forged checks and money orders. I read a story recently about a guy who got a forged money order but didn't know it and put the money in the bank and kept it there for a while just in case and the bank withdrew the funds because of the fraudulent MO.

Here's what happens derrick...you go to the bank...cash it, they'll give you the money....you send it to the guy...but once the check comes back to the bank...you will owe them the money you sent to them...so you will be out a couple grand....just tell him to send you the check...then once you get it...call the bank it came from and see if its any good.

What is your prefered way of paying for the transaction? Cash? Check?

Misinformation...
The check will go into your bank account if you deposit it, hell you might even have access to the money for awhile. Then the bank will see it is a fake/forgery and withdraw all that money from your account. The scam works on the idea that you'll cash the check, see that it was deposited and think it was legit, then send them another couple hundred/thousand dollars to cover whatever they say needs to be sent back. You send them money, they get the money, and then your account gets re-set to the pre-deposit amount when the bank sees the check was fake and you're SOL.
If I were you, I'd toy with them. Tell them to send you the money, cash it and watch it go in and then come out within a week, and then when they send the person to pick it up tell the delivery guy to go fuck himself if he's not with a known company like DHL/UPS/FedEX then beat the shit out of him.

you just said the same exact thing i said..
except, they dont even care about picking the car up...all they care about is the money that he is supposed to send them for shipping....they have no intention of even having the car shipped. so no dhl/ups/fedex will come...I didnt realize any of them shipped cars anyways. haha

I don't think they do. I don't know if I would trust the delivery guys with a modded car either. "Oh it didn't start when we recieved it" when they pulled donuts in your car at every unloading station from there to here.

You don't actually give them the car, you're just toying with them. I give up...
