Muscle cars VS. Imports
-
Yeah this will degrade quickly. In the end it's all about personal preference. It can be generalized that "muscle car" fans on the extreme end of the spectrum will be hickish idiots and "import" fans on the extreme end will be annoying 16 year olds.
I will say this (opinion coming from the mind of someone who prefers Domestics to Imports) that ANYONE who owns a v6 Mustang/Camaro/"Muscle/Pony car" and thinks its fast without turbos or a blower is an idiot. Their opinions shouldn't even be considered or matter unless they have some sort of induction.

V6 Camaro > anything. Anyone remember Burthwick? That dude knew what was up.
Honestly, this is the most played out topic in the universe. Import guys will always refer to the stupid V6 camaro or Stang owner who thinks that no one realizes his car is short two cylinders. Domestic guys will always refer to the plethora of Camry/Accord/Civic owners with annoying exhausts as their only mods who zip around town like complete idiots.
Sport bikes are better than either.

I personally like both, but the best = Big muscle displacement with Import style refinement/tunning.
Ex: Corvette
Aston martin
Ferrari
LamboThese guys know whats up. Large displacement and "muscle" is a good base to start on, but is usually so unrefined that It's not so useful.
Add the import tunning aspect of eeking every little bit out of what you've got and you're building a nice car.

I choose imports because they're generally cheaper and i like a car that can actually handle and that's very lightweight. V6 domestics have to be the worst "sports" cars out there and should be limited to cute girls driving them, the only exception is the Grand Nationals...that's a V6 that's sweet. Oh an push rods FTL!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I forgot about that guy, he was sooooo fast!
I like imports and muscle both. I love the raw horsepower potential of muscle cars, but I love the technology that goes into making imports fast.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. A true....TRUE car enthusiast doesn't nit pick on whether the car is domestic or import, big block or four banger, ford or chevy, honda or toyota etc, there the kinda of person that can look at a car and say "It's not my thing or I would've went a different route with modifications but none the less it's a pretty damn nice car. There's strereo types associated with different cars also, some seem awfully true while others are quite a stretch, you just have to deal with it. All it takes is for one or two tumbling tumbling dick weeds to ruin it for every one and all of sudden just because you drive a certain kind of vehicle your automatically given a label, then again some people are just asses no matter what they drive. *****When it comes to us, here on FargoStreet, we all trash talk and give each other shit, but it's all in good fun and we all know that and don't take it personally. All in all I'd say a good 95% of car guy/gals can meet on common ground and have a good time and can swap ideas and such that'll benefit everyone. That other 5% can just go to hell, there not what I call a TRUE car enthusiast.
