I would definately sell you the mod chip. It is the PS2 no solder mod chip. Thats the official title. And the boot disks are Swap magic v3.2. With the boot disks, you put the boot disk in and a screen pops up that says "Insert Disk" Then you hold the eject button till it opens (dont just tap it) and put in the PS2 disk. The door will close ON ITS OWN after 10 seconds. Dont push eject again to close it. When the door closes on its own, wait a few seconds and push X. The game should then boot. Wow...Xbox chips are way more expensive than PS2 chips. I havnt found out yet if you need a boot disk with that chip or not.

for xbox he is correct, some are solderless, some you need to solder tabs into holes on the MB to make it work.

I have a Xcutioner(spelling) 2.1 pro in my xbox i'm glad i got that one, its eazy to shut off and update.
My question is i'm lookin for a mod chip for my PS2 that don't require boot disks all that other crap i just want to be able to throw a CD in and go...do u sell those and install them?
