I always rent one from al at cfn but he charges $60 a day and it's a 10,000 trailer. or ultimate transportation but they require you to have a brake controller. They give good deals for the weekend and it's a nice lightweight tilt bed.

If you are towing an enclosed, they are usually at least 3500lbs empty. I know that the 25 footer I pulled up here a couple of times is 4,000lbs empty. Our Expedition did very well with the trailer and my Explorer in the trailer, but I don't think a Colorado could have pulled that thing empty.

Just pony up the 1100$ dollars for a trailer and get it over with.

(says the guy that has to borrow a truck and a trailer to move anything)

if you know where i can find a GOOD car trailer for $1100 let me know. lol.

the colorado has no problem with a car on a doly. we got 17mpg doing 55 toing one of my 240s back from the cities on H10. I also have my jeep to tow with after i get a tranny cooler in it.

Yeah, my S10 is rated for 5500 lbs towing and it was tough pulling a corolla on an 18ft steel trailer up a couple of the hills on the way to Sioux Falls. Other than the bigger hills it pulls great though. I think Colorado's are rated lower for towing, so a trailer with a car would be pushing it hard. An aluminum trailer would be nice...but they are spendy. If I need to do one-way tows I usually just rent a dolly from U-Haul. Tell your dad he needs a bigger truck! 🙂

^LOL! My dad should buy a diesel truck. That is what he does for a living.

I would be in the market for a late 90s cummins, if the price is right, and I can sel my Jeep
