oh no, im goin to get an import, just dont know what i want to save up for yet. maybe a 300ZXTT or an RX7 Turbo. I would save up for a 350Z but i dont think i have the patience to wait that long. im going to work construction this summer to help too. It would kick ass to save up and spend the 35,000 on a Skyline but i dont want to wait that long but who knows how long i will save.

where are you going to get 35000 on a skyline.

even if you do save up enough money to pay for a TT z or a RX7, how are you going to pay the insurance? you can't just have liability on those 🙂 well i suppose you could but youd bein the same situation as you are in now

ya i know about the insurance thing, but you have to realize i wont be gettin one until im at least out of highschool or maybe even wait until im out of tech school. Oh, you could get an r32 for 33,000 the last time i checked motorex, but i just checked and they are up to about 40,000 for a stock one.

I would just concentrate on the here and now for the time being. I have read posts from you at least 10 different cars you have been planning on getting.
ps- I don't hate you 🙂 and you don't need to prove anything to anyone on this board so stop trying.

keep your cheap beater car and acquire funds to buy a better car. don't worry about modifying it at all, just worry about getting something, paying insurance and buying gas (premium gets expensive when you're getting <20mpg)

Go for the truck. Theres nothing hotter than lifted trucks, i like my Nissan PU just as much as my mp3. Nothing wrong with having both.

with that much lift the truck is going to suck to drive. Trust me. I had an 87 Toyota p/u w/ 6" lift, big ass tires, small block chevy motor, th350 trans, etc.... IT SUCKED to drive. Shitty gas mileage, no handling at all, worthless in snow/ice, loud as hell (tire noise), etc, etc, etc. The only thing it was good for was mud. Well, that and pissing of the local rednecks who didn't think import trucks should be lifted.

Honestly, I'd rather have the raised truck than a lowered one. Just a pet peeve of mine, especially when I see H2's slammed w/ Dubs (or worse, lambo-doors)....why the hell would you buy an H2 and then lower the damn thing?

Maybe, just maybe, a 2wd truck would be worth lowering, but then only a midsize or smaller truck (S10, Colorado, Ranger, Mazda, Toyota, Nissan, etc...) As for the bad ass system, I'm all for that. I'm actually working on an in car multimedia system in a Colorado that will be lowered 2"-3" and turbocharged within the next year. The full system will be designed to be removed for racing and reinstalled for DB Dragracing, car shows, USACi shows, etc...

I'll post up some pics once we get a little further along.

If its a 2wd then slam it with some dubs..if its a 4wd then lift it and slap some huge tires on it...I have a 4wd only for the winters but it will be dropped this spring...Im going to do a 3/4 drop to make the stance look better

I hate the whole slammed H2s and shit. In my opinion, trucks were not made to lower unless it is 2wd and built. I have a 1964 Chevy 1/2 ton 2WD in my drive way right now that is lowered like 4 inches, it has lower pros in the front and big meats in the back. If the body was nice i would drive that, but it needs a basic frame up restore to be drivable. It also has a 327 in it with a TH400 trans, the only problems mechanically are the torque converter(loose bolts) and the fuel pump seal went out. A lot of people think i should just save up and restore it, but idk. The previous owner was basically making it a race only truck. he put a one wire alternator in it so it needs to be jumped all the time. The modds are as follows:
                                        American Racing Rally Rims
                                        327
                                        Comp cams cam
                                        edlebrock performer intake

I agree if you are tryin to save money you want to keep the car cuz an older lifted truck you are really goin to suck the gas. I have an 84 ford ranger with 7" of lift and the stock v6 in it and around town i am lucky if i get 10mpg. but that is sittin in a field right now cuz the tranny couldn't take what i put it though. So im drivin a 97 intrepid right now and I have saved alot more money drivin a car than I ever did when I was drivin my pickup even though I liked driven the pickup more cuz it was fun to go play in. but if you are tryin to SAVE keep your car.
