I also have a question... say you tint your windows. I know the film is on the outside but can you still scrape your windows in the winter or will this scratch the glass in turn making the tint look bad?

The film actually gets applied to the inside of the windows.

Yea I understand that. I'm saying when you scrape your windows you might scratch your glass... is there a specail scraper to use? I know that the glass on my srt was scratched from factory... it shows up on the tint as a not as dark area... nothing to do with the tint or the tints fault... it is the glass... I'm saying if you scrape your glass in the winter will that scratch the glass and in turn make your tint job look bad... yes the tint will still all be there but will it show in the glass?

I guess the only reason I am wondering is because my moms van with factory tints windows are scratched up really bad from what I believe to be the scraper... Thanks for the input!

To answer your question, it doesn't make the tint look bad, it just makes the glass look bad. And because there is dark tint behind it, the scratches will be much much more noticeable than if they're not tinted at all. You'd be surprised at how many people bitch and complain about how their windows look after they are tinted. It's not because the tint looks bad, its because the windows are all scratched up from rolling up and down, or using metal scrapers. A word of advice would be don't use a metal scraper, only use plastic.
