It was really unfair to see the bikes make 2-3 passes for every one pass the cars made. That damn yellow R1 drove me absolutely nuts! Why the hell did that guy have to rev his bike the entire way from the water box to the lights evry pass he made? I agree with Ethan....it's that girl's fault for letting the bikes cut in too soon.
Why can't guys on drag radials run in the groove? It seemed like no one was hooking up unless they were allowed to run in the groove!

The track was not good @ all in the morning i was having tire spin issues in 3rd gear. Later in the afternoon after the prepped isn't wasn't terrible but it wasn't th best its been. Could tell traction was an issue as my 1/8th mile mph varied from 104-109mph.
But yeah i agree 100% w/ the bikes cutting in line, gets a little old when you watch them finish a run come back and cut around the fence to jump right in front w/ their buddies and make 2 passes back to back. Is the a problem getting in the back of the line like the rest of us and waiting your turn?

I think what needs to happen is they need to line the bikes up against cars like they do at every other track. Is there any reason why a bike cannot race a car? Whether the race is close or not, it is just a test & tune day.

I was hoping someone else would mention the bikes cutting in line. Sure you say it's the girls fault, which some of it is, but the bikes should show some respect for the rest of us and not just cut in line like that. I have don't remember the bikes ever lining up at the front of the staging lanes like that, they usually just get in line like the rest of us.

You can't blame the guys on bikes. I'm sure most, if not all, of them figured they were getting equal passes as the cars or they didn't even think about it.

I'm running MT ET Streets and they wouldn't let me run in the groove either. I should of just put my street tires back and saved the tread on my mickeys.
Those dragsters sucked too. There was one time I was right up front, next to go, but we all had to back up and let the dragster go.
I think next year I'm just going to go on the regular race days and see how that is.

IMO, there shouldn't be one lane for bikes and three lanes for cars. You should have to wait in the same line as everyone else no matter what you run!

So why wasn't the girl running the lanes, who was standing in front of them as they cut back around, telling them not to do that. Yes, they should know better than to do that, but people should also know better than to steal a tractor tire and burn it....ruining any chance of overnight 2 day events.....shouldn't they Nick? Hmmmmm....everyone has poor judgment every once in a while, don't they? Only some can actually admit it.Since we're crucifying the bikes. Why don't all of you CAR racers buy some goddamn slicks and stop tearing up the track I have to race on. Instead of buying that uber cool neon kit......buy some tires.

If i was the one who wheeled the tractor tire over then yes it would have been poor judgement, but since i didn't then no it wasn't on my part. Sometimes its nice to get the facts straight before making accusations, starting to sounds like Joel.... If i recall correctly who sells and installs all the neon kits in town??
Anyways back on topic, you have to admit that the bikes do cut it line often and many a times have i watched them loop right around the return road fence and slide right into the staging lines w/ the rest to make an immediate run. IMO it is BS. Yeah fine great, i still make plenty of runs so im not gonna make a big deal about it, just agreeing w/ the fatcs that it does happen and obviously other people are noticing it now as well. Also as the other point was made, why dont the bikes run w/ the cars?

Nick, re-read my post. I ASKED you a question. Was STEALING a tractor tire and burning it good judgment? YOUR company was an event sponsor and you did nothing to stop it. I NEVER said that Nick Tufte was the one who did any of it.
None of that matters, it's not the point. Everyone is getting so butthurt over the bikes making passes. Did any of the people who are complaining talk to the burnout/starting line personnel? If so, tell me which one and let us know what the conversation consisted of. If you didn't say anything, it sounds like your own fault to me.
This is the first I've ever heard of people complaining about the bikes running.
As far as why the bikes don't run with cars....I don't know....I don't make the rules at the track.
If I recall correctly, I think you're hinting toward TINTMASTERS as the shop that sells and installs neon kits. I think you're right. Shhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone.......keep it on the DL.
CMK - Go ahead, I'm curious to hear what you have to say on the bikes vs. cars thing.

You just love to argue dont ya? As i said i really dont care about the bike issue as normally you can make a million passes in a day anyway, but i do notice the issue and obviously others do as well. Now in the case when it was late in the day and the lanes were packed and it was taking 45 min to make a run then yeah i'd be a little pissed about people cutting in line but until that point i could care less, but they themselves should realize wait in line like everyone else.

I think if some people don't like the street legal days, then they shouldn't go, nobody forces you to go there do they? It seems like after every one, someone has to whine and cry about something. Go to the people who run the damn thing if you guys are gonna cry about it.
For the bike thing, I was running my bike, and not all of the bike guys cut in line. I'm not really sure how bikes are "cutting" when there is a lane just for bikes? If there's nobody in line, I just go right to the front of the "bike" lane. Again, the people that run the track send everyone when they think they should, so don't be bitching about ALL of us bike guys.
