There isn't a point in selling something if your just going to lose money on it. Its not like he is trying to bait and switch on him he is just being honest and asking for more money to cover shipping costs. From what I read both the buy and seller both assumed that shipping about be ~$50. Assumptions aren't always right.

Lowballing has nothing to do with an agreed price. It is an offer made by one party. Apples to oranges. I never said it is unethical to asked for more money. I think it is a chickenshit way of trying to cover your own fuckup.

What are the dimensions of the box? Anyway you can cut it down? Your probably over the dimensional weight by a few inches. Those few inches will raise the cost $50.
I wouldn't ask for any more money if there was an agreed upon price.

well i asked the guy on friday and i still havent gotten a reply back. well from this expierence i know i am not going to sell something large over the internet ever again. i see both points from both sides of all the comments. It is my fault for not checking first but he also figured it wouldnt be this much for shipping so i am prepared to give him his money back.
