Yup good stuff although the second book, the one covering the first game, was pretty lame. That looks like what I imagined the exosuits the spartans played with in that warehouse looked like just a little bigger.

The Halo books and the game itself are in no way related. The people that thought of the idea for the game do not work with the people writing the books...so its really kinda stupid to class the two together.

Maybe not but there are a lot of things that the writers of the game took from the books and ran with and vice versa. For example the opening dialogue for Halo 3 is cortana saying something about she picked John #117 because he had something none of the others did... luck. That is a direct quote from one of the books.
