The ordinance really is bs it is all based on an officers opinion, well that doesnt really work they need to set a db limit to make it a reasonable law. If your car is too loud at a low rpm you need to fix your exhaust if they hear you at WOT you deserve to get pulled over for being a dumbass. Pay more attention to who is around before you go racing around.

I too have been complimented by cops on my exhaust. One local and a highway patrol. But my car is pretty quiet, loud exhaust doesnt mean its good exhaust by any means, i bet mine flows better than 90% on this board and is alot quiter than most as well. hell i drove around with an open downpipe for a month and a half and didnt get harassed. Examples are glasspacks for one, those are about the most restrictive muffler you can put on a car, and have been proven to cut power in almost every situation. Also they dont make them any quieter so whats the point.
Point is, get a good, somewhat quiet, quality exhaust system and quit bitching about it. Think i have about $290 in my entire system, and thats 4", so you guys can afford it im sure.

If you are complaining about being profiled, and the cops not pulling over harleys or big trucks... buy a harley or a big truck.... just because they get away with it, doesnt mean you can. I agree it is messed up but incase most of you haven't figured out yet, there are a lot of inconsistancies in life, learn to cope.... -
