chuck, we will have to talk this spring. How much for a 2way on a 05 Colorado? Range around 2000 feet.
$315 for the Ultrastart 3280XR Pro
$45 for XK06 bypass kitPersonally, I'd spend the extra $10 and get the Ultrastart 3285XR Pro

I had asked Jason at TM about the autostart for a manual a while back for my dad's truck. It costs $75 more for the manual ones, and I'm pretty sure that's installed. It's more because you need an extra set of wiring for it. So for the cheapest it'd be like $254 for a manual.

Sure would.I guess I shoulda said initially that it's an AstroStart. And I have the unit in front of me but can't find the instruction manual.
There are model and part numbers on the back of the brain, but I'm assuming those numbers are probably just for that part, not the entire unit itself.
So not knowing exactly what model number it is, I can tell you that it's a 2-way that **doesn't **have the little display screen on the remote. It confirms that it started by simply vibrating the remote w/flashing lights at the top.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I heard an ad on the radio that Tintmasters will install them in vehicles with manual transmissions. Is this true? I'm getting old, so maybe I was hearing things again....I only ask because I went out there personally about a month ago and the guy behind the counter said they did not.
idk who the guy is, but we do do car that are manuals

I wish I could tell you the guy's name but I didn't get it. When asked, he even went out into what I'm assuming was the install bay and asked someone else - came back and said that you guys wouldn't do it.

I know that probably describes about 90% of males in this town, but that's about the best I can do.
I did tell him that I had the 2-way AstroStart from another vehicle and wanted it installed in my 5-speed. He wasn't sure so he went and asked....you know the rest.
Thanks.

And not that it helps but he was chattin' it up with a couple young females which I totally understand.
And don't misunderstand me; I don't want to get anybody in trouble for this. The guy was very polite and curteous. He just gave me the answer someone else fed him. So it's really no big deal.

I think it is fair to say that most shops don't like to install used autostarts unless it is their own brand and they were at least the ones who removed it.
