And don't misunderstand me; I don't want to get anybody in trouble for this. The guy was very polite and curteous. He just gave me the answer someone else fed him. So it's really no big deal.

I think it is fair to say that most shops don't like to install used autostarts unless it is their own brand and they were at least the ones who removed it.

I sell a Astrostart 5-sp module to interface into your car pm me if you want some info,I works very slick you have to do a safety sequence thats very easy to do in order for it to start your car.

Tintmasters in GF did my 2-way autostart and alarm. I've got a manual tranny.

? here. With the keyless cars, I suppose you need to carry both remotes with you??

nope. It all gets integrated to one remote.

Well with some calling and searching, it looks like its $200 plus for what I want installed. I have been trying to find some uninstalled, but the good ones are hard to find that way, dammit. I used to install these things and would rather do it myself if I can.

Were you talking about your G35 w/ the smart key? If so, yes you still have to carry the smart key w/ you. If you're talking about normal a normal keyless entry remote, then just as Chuck said, it can all be done just w/ the autostart remote.
