      it says they went out of their way to make sure the trucks were as close as possible and they put a v10 in with the v8s? why didnt ford use the 5.4? were they afraid of the bigger displacement of the other two? doesnt seem to "fiar" to me...

        They were using the big daddy GAS motors available in the trucks.

          well according to what i read, in gas motors the GMC was better by a large margin in everything except the 7and 15% grade testes. And also note that it produced a higher MPH at the top of the grade in every single test, but the ford was a little quicker. THat can be attributed completely to the gearing advantage of the ford, as the v10 with a comparable 3.73 gear would have been destroyed quite easily.
          For the diesels, the GM pickup literally just destroyed the other two, and i mean destroyed. Ford V10 FTMF...L honestly.
