What: RallyX
Same as AutoX....... only on the snow. When: Saturday, January 26th
Registration 9am-10am
Runs will start between 11a-12p
Ends around 4pmWhere: Buffalo River Race Park. The south side of Hwy 10.
Directions:
http://www.buffalorivermx.com/directions.htmlWho: Badlands SCCA
Price: The pricing structure is changing for 2008. Im not a 100% on what the price will be. I can tell you that it will be in your best interest to become a SCCA member. This year you will have to buy a daily membership to participate in any event. I think its going to be something like $40 for non-members and $25 for members. I will know more on this soon.
There have been questions about what will be allowed. The rules for RallyX are the same as AutoX. This event will be exactly the same as a summer autoX. Cones/Marshal stations/timed runs. There are no jumps. This is an open field that will be plowed before the event. However, the terrain may be bumpy!

was talking to one of the organizers today -
no pickups, no suv's, no studs, no chains.they're looking to get as many participants as they can.. and for 35 bucks, 20 if you're an SCCA member.. the money-enjoyment ratio is through the roof.
Sucks I'll probably just be watching, but it looks like I'll have company.

I want to race my jeep. blah blah blah rolling. I haven't rolled it yet! I mean down in Sioux Falls they were letting pickups auto-x. Looks like I'll have to stick to camera duty.it was 1 pickup, it was rushers, and the reason it was able to race due to the scca rules that allow any fulltime AWD to race. So the same shuld apply. lol. NOT any car that can be push button into awd.

NOT any car that can be push button into awd.I know who it was. he also races his lightning, which is not awd. Different regions enfore rules differantly. A 2wd pickup can not race here. I asked when I raced down there, I asked the people running it and they said they would allow a 2wd chevy truck to go.

2 diffrent people, 2 diffrent events.
the lighting was run at a corvette "meet" and they have thier own rules all together. its more of an excuse to burn up tires lol.
But with a rally x I would be like we need more trucks lol. I know in my tahoe I have many drift points lol.
And in My work van I dont know how many points I've lost crashing into shit well trying to drift.
But in the end you are right, who ever puts it on is what you need to follow.
